We are going to Disney for 5 days following DCL with picky picky eaters. They won't eat Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Applebees etc. here in town. Please give me some restaurants you suggest so I don't have to listen to them complain the whole time! We will be with 4 kids too (4,5,6,7). Thanks!!

Buffets might be a good option. There's a lot of variety, plus the picky eaters can see exactly what they're getting before they eat. Many of the buffets are character meals, so that will amuse the kids. My family enjoyed Crystal Palace, Biergarten, and Hollywood & Vine.

It may be easier to recommend restaurants if you told us what they DO like. I don't like the restaurants you listed either but don't consider myself picky.

I agree with the PP about buffets, which let you see exactly what's being served. Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace offer traditional comfort foods that might be a good pick. Also, Liberty Tree Tavern and Prime Time Cafe offer fairly standard meat and potatoes options.

It sounds as if you are the person planning some or all of the restaurant picks, which can be frustrating if you're dealing with picky eaters. It might be helpful to print out some restaurant menus and engage the "picky ones" in helping you choose restaurants.

Also, if you really want to try an unusual restaurant and know the rest of your group won't enjoy it, maybe you could make ADR's just for yourself for one meal.

I don't know what to say. I hate Applebee's and Red Lobster. And only on occasion had a meal I liked in Olive Garden (when I go it's not by my choice). I'm not picky, I just am not a fan of many chain restaurants. Can you tell us what they like to eat? Perhaps that way we can be more helpful.

You asked....so here is an example....

Many many times we have gone out to eat with them and he orders a filet mignon and a lobster. Even though they are two seperate entrees and not paired on the menu together. He will order one of each! And yes, we split the check every time! we would never say "but you ordered a $75 entree and I ordered a $15.00 salad. We just don't eat like that but love their company! Maybe a lobster or a filet....but not both!! Does that help?

We are doing the DDP and want to eat at some nice restaurants. We are there for the parks, the fun, etc and could really care less about the food as long as I can eat healthy 50 percent of the time. I'm not watching it the whole time that's forsure! :)

I would look at the menus on allears.net and print out menus that you feel have something for everyone. :upsidedow I must agree agree on Red Lobster and Olive Garden-yuck! Yet we have had wonderful meals in Disney and always look over the menus before making ADRS. Good Luck!!:upsidedow

With such young children who are picky eaters I would reccomend chef mickeys, crystal palace, hollywood and vine and liberty tavern. Good suggestion to check out allears for menus :thumbsup2
