Need some DVC tour info

A co-worker who received the same flyer in her room - was told she couldn't get the gift card because she was married and her hubby would not be present.

This would backfire if it applied to our family! If my DH went, he'd sit there and talk me out of it!

(We did the tour in 2001 and finally bought resale in 2008...and just added on direct last month.)

When we visited a year ago, we received fastpasses - a total surprise because we weren't expecting anything. Then at the last minute our guide threw in $15 gift cards for each of us (me, DH and DD) to get us over to Olivia's for dinner so we could check out OKW. We were on our 3rd SSR stay and were really sold on buying an SSR resale. She saw right through us.

Do we have to make reservations or just show up, say at BLT? The reason I'm even thinking about it is we have some unplanned time before we check in at AKV
