I’m in need of some clever travel friendly ideas for clothing storage on the Disney Wish. There people, inside stateroom. Already I’ll have to pack some wire hangers as it looks like only 4 provided. 4 shelves in the closet and two drawers by the queen bed and another drawer by the desk. Looks like potential storage space under the night stands. Any ideas?

You don't need to pack hangars. Just ask the room host for additional. Since it's a short cruise, you really don't need that many clothes. Bring things that do dual duty (can be worn twice/mix & match). For example - two tops and two bottoms = 4 outfits.

Each person gets one shelf in closet. Each person gets a drawer. As mentioned elsewhere, if you open your suitcases and lay them flat under the bed, that's at least two more "drawers" for use.

Magnetic hooks. Allows you to hang up things like hats, hoodies, sweaters. We put our suitcases under the beds but use them for dirty clothes when we get too many. Toiletry bag that you can put in the bathroom.

Laying the suitcase flat is a good idea. Two of the three are teenage girls so they don’t pack light lol.

Have you ever considered packing tubes.? By using packing cubes it creates a unit that you can put on the shelves where nothing falls over you can stack one on top of another. Didn’t know what packing cubes were until a few years ago myself but now I put all of my shorts and shirts into a packing cube takes up Farless space I’m absolutely shocked. Is Crusoe help your girls as in high school and college you sometimes have to go on a trip with a school function where you have to pack very light it’ll help them realize how much more they can actually bring if they use packing cubes.
Maybe Google how to use packing cubes to help you avoid wrinkles not gonna believe this, but we just had a trip with five adults and we didn’t even use all the shelves. We had some of the littler shelves empty. The other ships haven’t got very large, nightstand drawers. Perhaps the Wish is different?
PS I don’t have my glasses with so I couldn’t type this. What’s worse I had to use Siri!

We use a hanging organizer like this. It packs flat so we can put it in the bottom of the suitcase and then hang it in the closet. It's perfect for my daughter's things and frees up the drawers for my husband and I.

Can you PM me a link to those items? I’m a storage obsessed shopper and NEED to own what I do not possess. Thank goodness I don’t obsess on Pandora!
DW and I used these to pack and have our clothes in the closet:

Still had room to hang some things and left the shelves available for my kids’ stuff.

I'm almost positive there were more than 4 hooks in the closet when I was on the Wish. I second the suggestion for packing cubes-they serve as self-containing 'drawers'. You can put them pretty much anywhere and stack them.

Go on the Magic, Wonder, Dream or Fantasy but seriously you shouldn't need creative storage solutions to go on a vacation. This is another issue with the Wish that we hated so unless the the Treasure has some changes made we will be sailing on the original 4 ships only for the foreseeable future. Rant over.

Worse case scenario you just keep clothes in the suitcase under the bed. That being said we do NOT even try to pack light and had no problems with finding places to put our stuff. There’s a little less storage on the Wish but it was fine. And as others said you can request more hangers. And we loved the Wish so have fun!

I second packing cubes and a hanging organizer (something like a shoe organizer). It’s perfect for storing the room keys (bracelets), watches, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. We also have toiletry bags that have a built in hook to hang from a towel rack. I can’t stand clutter, so these items keep all of the surfaces clutter-free.
Weve done cruises with babies, baby gear, strollers, car seats, a given diaper pail, the whole nine yards, and always had plenty of room for storage in a Disney cabin. Just stay on top of keeping everything neat!

Another vote for packing cubes. We've sailed 3 times on the Wish and packing cubes worked perfectly for us each time. We used 2 cubes per person and they stacked easily and neatly on the shelves in between the split closet (we put the lifejackets under the bed so we could use all four shelves. We also had 8 hangers in each closet. The drawers and shelves on the Wish are a joke! The shelves at the desk are about 4 inches deep. There are 3 desk drawers: one is about 3 inches deep, the other two are maybe 5 inches deep. There's also one tiny cabinet at the desk that has 2 small shelves. The nightstand drawers are very small, too.

I haven’t been on the wish, but I always bring with me the following:
1. Magnetic hooks, but the strong type these will hold my lanyard when I come in the room, a hat, a light bag, or a light jacket, or a swimwear. Depending on the magnet and Wall, how much it holds ranges.
2. We use an old duffel bag with wheels to logon water and stuff in this ends up being our laundry basket under the bed with the wheels, rolls out easy, and I can roll it down to the laundry room. I do the same thing with a second type, duffel bag where we exclusively put all of our shoes.

The rest I just figure out

Hi. You can store under the bed also. The bed is lifted about 12 inches off the ground. I brought my own hangers as well and a collapsible travel hamper for dirty laundry.

The drawers by the bed are tiny. We only kept our chargers in there. The drawer by the desk is shallow as well, but we kept a lot of things in there

The vanity/desk has lots of shelves.

There are also large shelves on the exterior of the closet. These shelves held quite a bit!

We traveled as a family of 4, so we didn't need the murphy bed. That gave us some additional room.

Bon Voyage!
