2020 packages have arrived..

So we are going End of October 2020

Best western park place and we are set on that hotel.

I’m not sure I want a payment plan or not. I’ll be paying for everything this summer but thought about booking now for peace of mind.

Get away today package: 2886 (includes their $75 peace of mind) which I don’t like about them, but our dates could change for some unknown reason and they have fees for cancelations. Plus if I wanna use layaway it’s a 99 fee (Not a deposit)

Direct through Disney: 2900, but they have free cancellation up to a point (it’s easy I used it last trip) and the deposit goes toward amount. We don’t fee we need travel protection when it’s free to cancel.

Book separate: we did this our last trip and we did save some money. However we really want the best western park place this time. They don’t book direct until 50 weeks before. For our data that’s November 26th. So I have the marked on my calendar. I just worry about them filling up.

Do they only release so many rooms to packages?

I can save the most by booking direct and buying tickets separately. I can get it right at 2800 that way I think with the best western rewards rate.

Ps: it’s okay to call me crazy.

Why not book direct through Disney, and then if you can get a better deal by booking separately later on, you can cancel the Disney booking?

(I don't know anything about booking a package through Disney as I have never done it. Just offering a suggestion based on the info you provided.)

We don’t have a Costco membership and the closest one isn’t worth it..

But yes we did go ahead and book through Disney!

Idk why people think get away today is cheaper? I mean I guess it is if you want to pay it all upfront but their layaway fee brings it right to Disney’s cost.

I booked my trip for Feb 2020, directly through Disney. I used my Disney experience account. I put my deposit down and the thing I like most about it is that they have free 100% refundable cancelation if you should need it long as it is done in their time frame which is what maybe 2 weeks before the trip? I tried to book via Costco but it ended up being the same price and because I don't have a Costco membership I wouldn't that extra 2% back or anything so, it made sense to book directly with Disney. it's also easy enough and you can go into your account and add money here and there. it's just my personal preference. That's how I always book our trips to WDW too, and it's just so easy! Good Luck!!

I would absolutely wait until November and book directly. They only release a very limited quantity of rooms to travel agencies. I've been watching BWPPI rates really closely lately as it's on my list of possibilities for my 2020 trip. The mini suites definitely book up sooner than the regular rooms, but booking 11 months out, you will have no problem getting the room you want. It's very seldom that GAT has the lowest price on any hotel (and I've noticed it's usually only in the middle of May or early September), and no thanks to the $99 layaway fee. That's 20 churros!!
