Hi Everyone

I made my reservations here are my choices and ressie times:

Friday -Mama Rosa's 5:40 p.m.
Saturday - Polyneisian 6:45 p.m.
Sunday - Le Cellier 7:40 p.m.
Monday - Concourse 6:50 p.m.
Tuesday - Bamba (sp) at AKL 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday - Cinderella (GF) 7:00 p.m.

We did chose Bamba over Spoodles, not sure if I made the right decision.
There are 5 of us (children 9, 10, & 14). Are these good choices?

I am concerned about the times I have chosen also, I have read here that even with a reservation you have to wait sometimes as long as an hour?:coffee:

Please advise, thank you!

A few of the restaurants I have never been to and others I plan I visiting in a few weeks. And the times that I have rezzies for are similar to yours, to wit:
Mon. Coral Reef @ 5:20 My first day there and I will have been up since 3:00 AM.
Tues. Restaurant Marrakesh @ 6:30
Wed. Mama Melrose's @ 6:30
Thurs. Cape May Cafe @ 7:00
Fri. Boma @ 6:00

I am assuming that what you have listed as Polynesian is 'Ohana's which is a great experience if you have children. Le Cellier's is a decent restaurant that I have eaten at once years ago. The Concourse Steak House is a place I am totally unfamiliar with. What you have as "Bamba" I'm guessing is Boma where I will be at on Friday night. "Cinderella" I am guessing is the character dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Since my three young 'uns are now in their twenties, character meals are not my cup of tea until my grandchildren are old enough.:hourglass

Have a great trip.:wave2:

I am still confused. See what the DDP has done to me. Here again are my ressies:

Friday -Mama Rosa's 5:40 p.m.
Saturday - Polyneisian 6:45 p.m.
Sunday - Le Cellier 7:40 p.m.
Monday - Concourse 6:50 p.m.
Tuesday - Boma (sp) at AKL 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday - Cinderella 1900(GF) 7:00 p.m.

We were actually looking for a good "sit down" place, how many of them are buffets? Are there better choices for a "sit down" resturant?

Mama Melrose is not a buffet, and neither is Concourse or LeCellier. The Polynesian is a toss up. If you're going to O'Hana, that is all you care to eat...but they bring it to your table. Fabulous choice, by the way. If you booked Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, then it is also a fabulous choice, but is not a buffet. I think all your choices are wonderful with the exception of Mama Melrose. I didn't find this restaurant to be one I'd go to twice. And I can think of SO MANY more I'd try...Coral Reef, Marrakesh, Chefs De France, Crystal Palace, the second one at Polynesian, which ever one you don't have booked...lol, Spoodles, gosh, too many to list..lol.

You shouldn't wait for more than 15 mins to be seated if you have an ADR, we never have. When you say Polynesian, do you mean 'Ohana or Kona Cafe you're eating at?

Out of those Boma and 1900 Park Fayre are buffets, Mama Melrose's, Le Cellier and Concourse are sit down.

Something you might want to do is to look at the menus on this site. Just click the "dining" link above. There is also another site, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link. If you google "allears", you'll find it. They have all the menus available as well. There are also reviews on that site of the restaurants.

I think your kids would enjoy the Coral Reef. Good food, wonderful atmosphere. Your other ADR's...Boma, Le Cellier, anything at the Polynesian, are great Choices. Can't comment on 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, as we are doing it for the first time this September.
