OK so I'm going on Holiday in Jan and I'm looking at Disney Dining plan (which we've purchased) to see what returants we want to go in. We're going from the 27th Jan to the 3rd of Feb and have narrowed it down to 6 resturants (1 of which is 2 meals). Now the person I'm going with doesn't mind doing some of the resturants at lunch time.

1.Does anyone have any opinion on which out of the following list are best for lunch time and which for dinner?

Yaughtsman steakhouse
Rose & Crown
Le Cellier
L'Originale Alfredo
Chef Mickey's
Boma's

2. Do you think we need to make ADR's for all/any of these and if so which ones?

3. It's my friends birthday when we're over there and he wont make a decision on which resturant he wants to go to for his birthday. We both used to work at the Rose & Crown so not sure about going there or not. Anyone think which one of these would be best for a Birthday meal?

4. Any resturants on this list you really don't think we should bother with incase we can't get in?

Anyway thanks for help in advance

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

We did Chef Mickeys for breakfast last year and it's a great character restaurant. Le Cellier was excellent, and was the most expensive meal we had - as we were on the dining plan it didn't matter! However, Boma was incredible. The staff were great, talking to us and the kids about animals and Africa, and the buffet was outstanding, with some very unusual things to try. The atmosphere and setting is wonderful.

Sorry, I haven't been to the other three on your list!

BTW, did you work at the Rose and Crown on the international programme?? Last year, my DD (11 - planning for the future!) asked a lovely girl working there from Liverpool about how to get on the programme and she gave her info on which websites to look at. What did you think about it?? We'd be grateful for any info and insights, please PM me if you have anything to tell!!

Yeah I was on the IP programme. It was really good programme. Hard work and not much money for it but it was fab and I wouldn't change it for anything. Me and my friend I'm going on hols with met over there and its nice cause we're still in touch (actually still in touch with most of my arrival group.

Have pm'd more info

Hi I'd pick yachtsman for the birthday meal as its such a good meal, Boma recently has not been as good as previous visits, but Kona Cafe & Park Fayre are both good if you are looking for alternatives

Yaughtsman Steakhouse - dinner, definitely

Rose & Crown either lunch or dinner would be nice. If you go for dinner you might get a table for Illuminations if you ask which would be a bonus :)

Le Cellier-dinner, if you want to tie in Illuminations

Chef Mickey's -for a slightly quieter (though not quiet) meal, try lunch. If you want more noise then do dinner!

Boma - dinner only here as far as I know

Hope that helps!

Chef Mickeys is only open for breakfast or dinner. ;)

Ooops, my mistake. Sorry!

I was sure we'd had lunch here once but maybe I imagined it :confused3

Just to add Boma also do a buffet breakfast which attracts good reviews
