Hi, We(family of 4) are landing at MCO at 3:15pm on 11/3 and staying at Pop Century. We are are staying for 7 days with a 6 day base ticket. Do you think we should try to make a park ( late ROTR? ) the day we land or use the 6th day ticket on the the day we depart( 7:15 pm flight)?Maybe even get 7 day ticket? Thanks.

We are doing the same. We have Epcot on our first night and will book LLIA for Remy for 7-8 pm before we start.

On checkout day, we book the park with the most convenient transportation (Epcot if we’re staying at Art of animation; AK of staying at AKL). We leave our bags at bell services and head to the park. We usually have a late flight but pickup (Magical Express) is 3 hours before so you need to leave the park at least 1 hr before those 3 hours. I would highly recommend 7 day tickets.

I was tempted to do ROTR the night we arrive, because I read there is less of a wait in the evening. Did you book Remy before your flight that afternoon?

If you're picking between the first or last day to use your ticket, I would probably use it on the last day. If you're taking Magical Express, you probably won't make it to Pop Century until some time between 4 and 5, then you'd need to drop your things at your room, and then make your way to a park. From landing to getting into a park, it generally takes us around 1.5 to 2 hours - and we travel carry on only and arrive early so we're just dropping bags at bell services right outside of transportation. On the last day, Magical Express will pick you up around 4:15 for a 7:15 flight, which would give you until at least 3ish in a park that morning. That gives you around 6 to 7 hours of park time (depending on how early they open that day), vs. 4 to 5 hours the first night.

Maybe the additional $80 for a 7th day for a family of 4 is worth the 3-4 hours in the park? If we can do 2 top tier rides late!

What time will you be waking up in the morning to get to the airport? That would be a big part of the decision for me. If we’re up early I would save the ticket for departure day. If it’s a reasonable wake up time I’d be tempted to add a day to our tickets to use the end of our trip.
