I just would like to know some advice when using a quest kiosk for trades...ie swapping credit for a certain item.

How do you usually do it? Credit first, then item or vice versa. I am thinking of getting a kiosk and just would like the nitty gritty on HOW to do this type of trade. I have not owned a kiosk so do not know the first thing about it! Please start from the beginning! :upsidedow

Thanks!

HI there
When I trade someone here on the board I give them the item first.....then I accept their credits. Im not so sure about doing that with ppl on vmk tho. So much scamming going on. You can also store things in your kiosk or use it to showcase your rare items for trade. Just be sure and block it so ppl cant access it.

gl to you

I agree with everythign Rob said. The only thing i can think about adding is, maybe have a CL_ there or someone you can trust from here.

MAKE SURE YOU CAN TRUST THEM!!

definatley i traded for 16,000 credits yesterday we had a leader hold my item and then i got my credits and the leader gave hime the item i feel that is the safest way to do those trades

I've used a kiosk to trade quite a lot of people but it's ONLY been DIS people. They're people who have good reputations (in that they've traded a lot with others) and sometimes they ask for the credits first because I'm actually the unknown. I understand that because it's easier for me to discredit the person with the item (ie. if they have a long and popular thread on the Trades and Wishes board) than it is for them to discredit me. Don't know if that makes sense but because of that, I'm willing to trade the credits first if the person asks. Otherwise, I do usually get the item first.

Just be careful when putting items in it. There is a limit to what it will keep. It just doesn't tell you what that limit is. I believe it's somewhere around 125 lines. But, it is an odd number.

You can put much more over that limit, but when you get back to it, all those items over the limit will be gone.

awesome. thanks guys.

How do I get a CL to assist?
If you have any on your friends list you can just ask them. If not, come here and post that you need a CL to help with a trade. :)

Is there a thread that says how you trade credits for an item or can someone explain it? Is this okay to do on VMK? I have a lot of rare items that I would like to get rid of and I' thinking credits since Halloween and Christmas is coming up soon. Or maybe give credits from the kisok to another family member's character.

awesome. thanks guys.

How do I get a CL to assist?

The other day I had a big trade to do that included my credits through a kiosk ( this was with a non dis member ).. I have a friend who is a CL but she was not on so we asked a CL who happened to be on the potc dock and we were told CL's were asked by staff not to assist in trades anymore..Maybe she just didn't have time to idk.. But honestly, unless it was a DIS member I wouldn't even consider trading my credits first without a CL present.. :scared1:
