Need some advice for WL at Xmas PLEASE!!

I know these questions have probably been asked a million times, so I apologize in advance! I tried using the search icon but it wasn't letting me (darn computer!!!). I just have a couple of questions that I would love to have answered by a WL expert!

We will be going to WDW Dec. 19-29, 2nd trip. 1st trip was 7/04 (AKL on that trip) and since we forked out the big bucks for the APs, we are going back! Plus, I hear that although crowded, Xmas is a must do for us Disneyphiles!

ANYHOOOOO, booked WL Courtyard View after reading everyone's rave about it for Xmas. This will be our first Xmas away from home and I am a bit wary of that, EVEN being a Disney lover....but I figure we will have lots to keep us smiling! I would love to know which Courtyard rooms to request...are there some that have more advantages than others? I had much luck putting in a couple requests at AKL, but I have NO CLUE what to inquire about at WL. Any help is much appreciated. Also, any special things/advice for the actual holiday? I am thinking we may want to steer clear of MK due to crowds, but who knows???

We were at WL last Christmas. You are in for such a treat!! We were on the concierge floor, but had a courtyard view. Our balcony was right by the waterfall, and I loved just standing out there listening to the water. It still had a great view of the lake, too. We've been to WL twice, and this was my favorite room. At night we could see the Christmas tree lit up in the suite across the courtyard.

You won't miss not being at home for Christmas. You will be surrounded by the Christmas spirit at Disney. We went to the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve. We ate at Le Cellier first, and saw the 8:15 CP show. Shortly after it ended the fireworks show at Epcot began. It was a very spiritual Christmas Eve. We really wanted to see the Christmas Parade at MK on Christmas day so we headed over there about an hour before it was to start. It was wall-to-wall people. There were times we couldn't even move because of the people jam, but we eventually made it back to where the parade starts and staked out a spot. I wouldn't do that again, but it was an adventure.

For our Christmas dinner, we ate at California Grill. It was the most wonderful Christmas dinner I've EVER had. We were seated right by the window next to a Christmas tree with an amazing view of the castle.

Don't forget about the Osborne Lights at Epcot. It's also fun to view the other resort decorations, and finally, take time to sit by the fire at WL, drink cocoa, and soak in the atmosphere.
We did bring our Christmas stockings from home and a small nativity set. Other people order predecorated trees and put lights up around their balcony. It is so wonderful. We're saving our money and planning to return Christmas of 2005. Enjoy.

You could do the sleigh ride which starts at WL. It runs nightly through Dec. and costs $30. Call 407 wdw-play to book it. The ride is 30 minutes.

We've had Christmas 3 times at WL!!! Love, love, love it. I need to find my notes, but I'll repost with room numbers that overlook the courtyard and directly face the lake/pool and on the inside directly face the lobby and all its Christmas decorations/music. These rooms are commonly known as the bear's face. It is my understanding that you need to include your request within your reservation now rather than a fax request.


We also send down a box or two with a 4 foot Christmas tree and Disney ornaments as well as a few presents and to help Santa find our temporary residence Christmas Eve.

Since you are arriving on the 19th, you'll have some extra days without big crowds; things start to crowd right after Christmas.
