Need some advice again

Happy Easter everyone,

Here's a shot in the dark. I already put in offer for one BWV contract (Resale)and want to do another one, still searching. Problem is we don't close for 8 weeks, here's the question......

How do I get ressies this june/july while I'm waiting for my DVC contract to be put into the system, is there any way or am I SOL (still out of luck).

Any other way I can get there? Am I stuck renting? or maybe buy new, which I don't really want to do.

With a resale, you have to wait until you close and then you have to wait to be put in the system by DVC, before you can make a ressie using your resale points.

Renting or purchasing new would be your options in this situation and even then it is based on availability so I would start the process ASAP.


Im sure someone will say how long it normally takes for DVC to get you in the system after you close.

You can't get a reservation until you have closed and are in the system. That usually takes some 4-6 weeks but can easily be 8 weeks or longer. Once you close, you might be able to get something even if it will be short notice. You could also rent now and rent out your points later. You could look for someone willing to swap. Maybe someone with points that will expire willing to let you have theirs now for use of yours later, a win-win for the right combination.
