Hey all.

I am looking to book one night at the poly on may 27th for our anniversary. I would like to suprise my wife that night.

we are booked at AKL from the 26th to the 4th and I am looking to hid that reservation till the last min. Will have to sneak over early in the day to check in.

now, I need some advice.

I really don't want to pay Rack Rate, what are my options.

and 2nd, will I have a problem holding two rooms in my name?

Looking forward to your advice.

Call and see if AAA rate is available. Buy an AP and look for AP discount. Ofc ourse, the latter makes no sense, but you could certainly try it.

As much as I would love an AP, that is not an option. Do AAA rates apply to CAA members?

As sweet and romantic as that sounds....it sure is a lot of work. How about taking that money and buying your wife a nice piece of Mickey jewelry as a keepsake of your love and trip.

I don't think Disney will allow you to have two concurrent reservations in your name.

I don't think you can be checked into two properties at the same time either. Sorry.

Why not surprise her by switching the first night or two of your reservation to the Poly and then moving to AKL for the rest of your stay? Or, switch the whole reservation to the Poly? You could do that without her finding out if you are crafty enough to hide the documents.

I don't mean to be rude, but I did not ask for suggestions on what I can do for my wife for our anniversary. I do appreciate the thought.

I asked what the best way to book would be as money is always an issue. A 10 night stay at the poly is almost double a 10 night stay at AKL or we would be staying there.

Anyways, I should be able to get around to booking name thing by putting it under a friends name who will be staying with us at AKL. I will have to ask Disney directly I guess.

Book it in your name and your parents address/work address and phone number.

Slightly change your name/address - if you are booked as Mike at one -- book as Michael at the other. Use your middle name as your first name.

Best would be if the first reservation is in your wife's name as the primary and this second one has your name as the primary.

Of course you might be able to just ask and book with notations.

As for help on the price - AAA, AP and then any public codes are the way to go - I am not up on codes at the moment but hopefully there will be one for you.

Good luck!

The Michael / Mike idea is what I think I am going to go with. Great idea, thanks.

you mentioned AAA again, does anyone know if CAA will work as I am Canadian?

btw, so everyone is clear. The original res is with me, dw, dd, and god father. So I am sure now you will understand why a night at poly, (without DD and my best friend) will be a welcome event. :-)
