DH's B-day is about a week after we come back from WDW. :cake:
I'm looking for an idea on how to celebrate his big 40! party:
We will have BIL, SIL & DD10 on trip. :dance3:

If I embarass him too much he'll probably kill me but with BIL & SIL on trip I might have safety in numbers. :grouphug:

Thanks in advance for any ideas!!! :scratchin

If you have an ADR somewhere, order a cake and see if they will sing :bday: to him.

Rent a hall and have a big party.

Also, see if you could get a wake up call on his bday. Have something delivered for him to the room.

Get him a free B-day pin at the parks... I MK they have it at City Hall... We did that for my mom...

Take him to Hoop De Doo Review! We celebrated our Mini-moon (3-month anniversary) at the Hoop De Doo. Had such a blast! It was my husband's first time, I've been 3 or 4 times but I never get tired of it.

We do have reservations for Hoop De Doo so that may have to doo! LoL! Thanks for the advice... :rotfl2:

Make sure you have a castmember call and have mickey or goofy give him a happy birthday call if you are staying on property.

For my dad's 69th I am gonna call the Coral Reef. Ask for the SCUBA diver package and he/she will swim up to window holding a sign that says happy b-day with person's name on it. Later he will be presented with it! This is a free service and I have heard from others on the DIS board that it is good fun. :cool1: Other idea ... when you call for ANY of your ADRs just mention that it is for his b-day and they will mark it down. When you check in at desk remind them. If you hadn't ordered a cake he will get a large cupcake with candle in it Some restaurants decorate the table with little mickey shape confettie. GO for it the entire trip. Every park has their own B-day pin just ask for them!

If you are going there, they will haul him up onstage during the audience
participation part. Especially if they know it's his birthday. That will be
awesome. :thumbsup2 Also, did you see "Six Feet Under" when it was
Nate's 40th birthday? They had a banner up that said, "Lordy, Lordy, Nate's
FORTY!" You could have buttons made like that. :teeth:

I definately am the kind of guy who never wants to grow up (mostly in a good positive way :-) )

I celebrated my 27th Birthday at Disneyland last January, and my wife arranged for me to do the Take a Walk In Walt's Footstep's tour, followed by Cake Decorating with Pat E. Cake at the Plaza Inn, and a Character Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, she also got me tickets for the Fantasmic dessert buffet... it was an awesome, once or twice in a lifetime incident :-) The Cake decorating thing was for little kids mostly, and other than the young lady celebrating her 75th, I was the oldest there (by about 15 years :-) )

For my 40th, I want to go to a character dinner at Disney again! (And hopefully I will had a few kids to go along with the wife) If your husband is not the type to go for that kind of stuff, then it might not work for him
