I am doing ym vow renewal packet for my guess and I am still up in the air when it comes to a site location for my IVR.

PLease tell me where you would go and why.

My party is about 15 people :)

Also what would you rather do day or even wedding. I thought I knew what i WANTED but I am so lost.

Thanks,
Kim

hi Kim...

I'm not sure I totally understand your question...but here's my two cents.

If you are doing an intimate vow renewal at Disney, you only have five choices. And since you are having 15 guests, you essentially eliminate Sunset Pointe as an option (I believe Disney is only allowing 10 guests at that location now, but ask your EM just to be sure!).

The Wedding Pavilion is more expensive (and quite a bit bigger than the other locations)...don't know if that is a consideration. Cost was a factor for me which is why I didn't choose the Pavilion, but it is beautiful.

I chose Sea Breeze Point because we were planning to stay at the Boardwalk. I wanted someplace close to our rooms. That was the biggest reason for my choice. It is a beautiful location, and I was thrilled when I saw it in person!

As to the other locations, they are all beautiful in their unique way...you have to decide about the "atmosphere"...I think in that respect, the Gazebo at the Yacht Club and Sea Breeze Point are very similar...and Sunrise Terrace at the Wilderness Lodge has a very distinct "woodsy" (but gorgeous) feel, at least IMO.

I can tell you that unless things have changed, for an intimate vow renewal, you really only have four times to choose from: 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. And that's only if the location you pick isn't already booked for a specific time on the date you want.

We picked 11am because DH isn't a morning person, and since we were there in September, we knew it would be HOT AND HUMID in the afternoon, so that time worked out best for us. When you are choosing a time, consider the temps and likely weather; for example, I would probably NOT choose an outdoor location (anything other than the Pavilion) for an afternoon wedding in July...too darn HOT!! ;)

Hope that helps...I'm sure others will give you better advice...but really, choosing a location is a very personal choice! :)

YOu know I am thinking about Seabreeze point now also. Also thinking about 11 am so afterwards we can go eat lunch and then split as a family. Yeah I know they are not going to stick around just for me :)

So since I got it all picked where would you eat :) We are big eatters in my family so buffet would be great. Also, I would like them to serve the cake there if possible. :)

Hmmm...where to eat...well, if you aren't wearing actual wedding clothes, you could actually go to Epcot and find something there.

If you are wearing wedding clothes, you might see if there is something at the Beach Club (I think there's a buffet thing there, but I'm not sure about lunchtime). The other restaurants nearby are Spoodles, Flying Fish, the Big River Brewing Company, and the ESPN club (not really a wedding style place! ;) ). I'm not sure what you would find at the Swan and Dolphin or the Yacht Club...

As for them delivering the cake to that restaurant, you will definitely have to ask your EM about that. I've heard different stories from different brides about different locations...so I don't think there is one definite answer.

I'm sorry I can't get more specific...our ceremony was so very simple, and it was just DH and me so we were able to be very flexible and casual. Plus, our wedding trip was our first and only (so far) trip to WDW...

I know your EM can offer lots of suggestions, and you will get lots of other advice from everyone here too!!! :)

Hey, Kim, I sent you the WL info. Seabreeze Point was our second choice. It just seemed so out in the open for any Disney guest to just walk by and watch our wedding or be distracting - I know now that once you're up there you don't hear or see anyone else! We wanted something outside that was as private as possible, so Sunrise Terrace was perfect. We fell in love with the site on our first visit. Seabreeze is gorgeous though and would have been our choice if WL had not been available :goodvibes

I have chosen the Wedding Pavilion simply because of the location and time of year (December 21st). I was terribly afraid to have an outdoor wedding at that time of year, as it is sssssoooooooo unpredictable.

I also love, love, love Sea Breeze Point, it is both intimate and elegant. Exactly what I was looking for. I don't think you can go wrong with that selection.

As for food, I know Cape May's is a seafood buffet at the Beach Club, however they only offer breakfasat and dinner. As does Spoodles, so if you are looking for lunch, they are not available. :scratchin I have never eaten at the Swan or Dolphin, but Bluezoo looks yummy if lunch is offered.

Happy planning!
