Need seriously quick advice..HELP!!

Yet another problem with virgin...9 days to leaving and DD's tickets/vouchers are still not correct (the accomodation is linked to someone else's reference number) After a rather fraught telephone conversation at 9.15pm last night, Craig in the call centre (I am 99% sure that this was not the name he was christened with:rotfl: ) decided that it was too late to send the correct vouchers out and said that they will be at Manchester Airport waiting to be picked up.

Like the stupid dumb blonde that i am, and after spending 40 minutes on the phone, i agreed that this was the best solution - bearing in mind that there is due to be a postal strike soon. However after NO sleep last night and worrying all day today i still am not convinced that the vouchers will be at the correct place at the correct time. CSR and HRH have no record of DD staying in our room as a 3rd adult and i have visions of her being homeless on arrival in the US!!

Has anyone any suggestions as what to do??
I have considered phoning Manchester airport and asking to be put through to the Virgin Ticket desk. If i don't do anything i can see the journey to the airport being a nightmare with me worrying (by the way no one else in the family seems to be in the least bit concerned)

I had hoped that my 1000 post would have been on a better note than ranting yet again about the lack of customer service at Virgin!!

I suggest phoning the hotel in the usa that your staying at and ask them about the reservation and explain the situation as they should beable to tell you whos on the booking etc. and beable to make a note of your call. I hope it works out for you.

do you have her plane tickets?
If so, i wouldnt have thought it would be a problem with the rooms. They are allocated on arrival and accomodate 4 people so it doesnt make much difference does it? (forgive me if Im missing something!)

I would keep ringing Virgin and Donnas advice of calling the hotels directly would also be a good move.. its so annoying when companies are so inefficient!
 

Yes, thank goodness, she has the flight tickets. All the park tickets, DC tickets are all present and correct. There is just no accomodation anywhere. I have taken your advice and emailed both Disney and the HRH - Disney say i have to deal through the TA however some good news from the HRH. They had no 3rd adult in the room but have altered it accordingly...i did try and blag an upgrade but i don't think that's going to happen:lmao: If anyone ever needs a contact at the HRH just PM me - they were really helpful.

I will keep you all informed as to whether DD will be selling "The Big Issue" outside MK:rotfl:
 
As most US rooms take 4 adults then I can't see a problem if DD has no voucher for accommodation as technically she wouldn't need one anyway if she had already been on the original booking as one voucher covers all occupants. Your DD would only need a voucher if she was having her own room.

DD wasn't on the original booking - has her own seperate booking number but no mention anywhere of staying at CSR and HRH, just the reduction for 3rd adult.

I'm going to have to stop stressing about it - i have looked forward to this holiday for 16 months and this week is going from one disaster to another. Dog can't have his holiday haircut because the place has closed down, i feel ill today as though i am getting a cold and to top it all i can't find any suitcase locks!!:confused3 must have put them in that very special safe place but i just can't remember where. Woke up at 3am this morning worrying about them!! Chill Andrea, chill:rotfl:
 
It's hard to try and relax before a holiday. I usually stress until I get to the lounge at LGW as I usually stress on the way to the airport as well in case the car breaks down!

Just think in a few days you'll look back at this and laugh. Hope you have a brilliant time:banana: :banana: :banana:

Glad I never worry over anything anymore(I used to then realised it does not help), I even went with no car voucher once, a few phone calls to travel agent sorted it. not used suitcase locks for years, you can live without them.
All will go well in the end, relax.:goodvibes

Not calm in our house either!!!! - We've just ripped the kitchen out ready to be refitted while away, the guy whose coming with us is still in Oman, and as its the end of the season I've still got to arrange to have the boat lifted from the Norfolk Broads before Tuesday ..... guess I'll be packing the suitcases Tuesday morning ...... now where did we put those suitcase locks? Sharon

I HAVE FOUND MY SUITCASE LOCKS...things are looking up:rotfl2:

In the only safe place in the house....the safe, along with TC, tickets and all other stuff that we want to keep locked away:thumbsup2
