Hello everyone,
First time posting on boards, but have been reading posts for about 2 months. My husband and I are taking my son (who will be 2 years old when we go) to disney world Aug.28-Sept.4. I have stayed onsite many times before but have never stayed at the Value resorts. I cannot decide which one of these resorts to stay at......The Pop resort looks so awesome with the pools and everything and I just would like some opinions from you guys on which one I should stay at??? Please help me, I am going crazy trying to decide where to stay.....I really want him to have a good time. I have just read horror story after horror story of these resorts....about the paper thin walls and the small rooms and I have no idea what to do and would love some professional input from you guys. Thanks so so so much.

We just got back from POP and I agree, I dont recall any 'thin" walls and I am a light sleeper.

We have stayed at the movies as well and they are very comparable, but I liked not sharing the buses, it was much faster.
Also, the goofy jets were very fun!! as was the hippy-dippy pool!!

the food court was about the same size, but I liked the theming better at the POP.

Either way you cant go wrong!

It always cracks me up when people complain about the paper thin walls at the value resorts, and the bad bus service. I am probably going to get flamed for this one, but I think some of these people are just Deluxe snobs. I am not pointing the finger at any one person, but I think that some people just want to knock the values and act like they are some kind of roach motels. We have stayed in all level of resort that Disney offers, except DVC, and I had a great stay at all of them. I heard just as much noise from other rooms, toilets etc, (which was very minimal) at all of them, and therefore think that this particular arument is totally invalid. Also, we had the worst bus experience at the AKL which is a deluxe, so that point isn't valid either. Go and have fun, whichever value you choose. We have stayed at ASMo and LOVED it. We are going to Pop this time just to try something different. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I also think its funny when people complain that sometimes All-Stars have to share buses. When staying at CR or Poly you have to share a bus with CR, Poly, and GF(WL too if I'm correct). At least the All-stars are all right next to each other.

I would say go with Movies. Pop is great but parking is a nightmare. Plus there are less rooms at Movies (less rooms =less people). I think your son will get a bigger kick our of the icons at Movies especially Woody and Buzz.

Don't drive yourself crazy - You can't go wrong with either of them.

Personally, I would go for Pop. It's newer, has a great food court, better landscaping, it's own bus service, an indoor lounge, and plays good music. :cool1:

As for the paper thin walls, I don't get why people say that. I've stayed at the All Stars about 6 times and Pop 2 times, and never once have I lost sleep because of noise. As for the toilets, if this really bothers someone I think they've got to mellow out a bit.

Indoor Lounge??? What kind of a lounge would that be, that is the first I have heard about it...can you share some info on it :) Please
