Any suggestions as to where we could have a romantic dinner while at Epcot or MGM to celebrate our anniversary during the Christmas season? Thanks so much!! ::MinnieMo

I just finished making our plans for romantic dinners for my DH birthday trip in Dec. Some may suggest France for a romantic dinner. I loved it there but my DH hated it...so that is off the list for us.

During the holidays we wanted to plan our dinners around the holiday decorations around the parks so what I planned:

MGM: Dinner at brown derby 6pm then off to Osbourne lights
MVMCP night dinner first at Cali Grill at 6:10 then off to MK
Birthday dinner at Citricos then drinks at Mizners
EPCOT: Dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse 6pm then to EPCOT - YSH is a short walk to the international gateway.

So that's my plan. At MGM there really isn't a romantic restaurant, but the BD is excellent. We have not been to YSH yet but it gets great reviews, looks romantic and I like the short distance to EPCOT. It's hard to find a real romantic restaurant in WDW, with the exception of V&A's...but that is in the GF.

Hope this helps!

My suggestions would be The Brown Derby at MGM. It is the most upscale restaurant at MGM. The others are high on concept, low on romance.

At Epcot, perhaps the Coral Reef restaurant which has huge windows for aquarium viewing. If you luck out, you can get a seat right next to the windows...try for the earliest dinner ADR for the best chance. The food is good, but not necessarily memorable. In the World Showcase, I would think about the Bistro de Paris. It is upstairs and less hectic than Chefs de France....

My husband and I really like Epcot for a romantic evening~ Try Bistro de Paris (France) upstairs restaurant, if poss table by the window to see Illuminations. Another good restaurant LeCellier Steakhouse (Canada) really good food. My favorite is L'Originale Alfreda di Roma (Italy) - the food is good but the Italy wine is GREAT! You can dine outside (if weather allows) and you can see Illuminations which is nice. Grand Floridian is always a good choice too! Happy planning.

My DBF and I had a wonderful and romantic dinner at Bistro de Paris on my birthday in February. Wonderful service, excellent food, and a lovely atmosphere.

I really recommend it.

Have to weigh in on the Yachtsman Steakhouse. By far, the most adult experience at a Disney restaurant. Even though the seating isn't private, it just felt like it was. Excellent service and great atmosphere. The only bad thing is they serve this wonderful garlic spread so that could kill the mood.

We really like Palio at the Swan for a romantic "Epcot" dinner. You can take the boat or walk to the Swan. :goodvibes

Hands down, Id choose the Morrocan restaurant in Epcot WS. Very romantic IMO, and you get bellydancers (woohoo) :lovestruc

If romantic atmosphere is more important to you than food, I have 2 suggestions.

1. San Angel Inn at Mexico is lovely & romantic with boats gliding by and a volcano in the distance. But, the food is very ordinary, like food from any ordinary neighborhood Mexican restaurant.

2. The Rose & Crown Dining Room at the U.K. has a quaint atmosphere, nice servers & service, but a pretty simple menu. Not bad, but not what you'd call "special occasion". The one huge advantage is the view of Illuminations if you are able to score an outside lagoon view table. If you explain that it's your anniversary, I think you might have an edge.
The Illuminations view makes it sooooo romantic.

Have Fun & Happy Anniversary! :sunny:

I'd recommend the San Angel Inn also. I think the theming inside the Mexican Pavilion is incredibly romantic, especially the restaurant. You feel like you are eating under the stars, and it is so nice to listen to the musicians playing. If you go there, request a table by the river. That's my vote! Happy Anniversary! :)

My votes would be the San Angel Inn or the Coral Reef in Epcot, and in MGM I'd actually pick Mama Melrose's. They make great sangria there!

I have to recommend Le Cellier at EPCOT (WS Canada)...it's my absolute favorite place to eat! Very romantic...DH and I ate there on our Honeymoon!

Here is a vote for Yachtsman steakhouse!~ Our very fave!!! YUM!!
Although Narcossee's is very romantic if you go during Wishes oops just remebered you wanted Epcot area!!

DH and I did Alfreda's the first night of our honeymoon...they serenaded us (make sure you let them know it's a special occation when you make your ADR)
