Every time I put in the attractions we want to do it says we have to many attractions. How can I divide it up? We will be there 3 days -- a Sun, Mon, Tues and will have 2 MMs. We have a 2, 4, and 6 yr old so we want to do pretty much everything except a few select rides like Haunted Mansion, Snow White.

Anyone have any insight?

Mango, when you are doing the MM days, are you leaving out the attractions that you'll be doing during MM? Ridemax doesn't account for MM, so if you look in the tips and tricks section, it tells you to leave out the ones you can do during your MM, to leave more room for the other things you want to do.

Example: You get to the gate 20 minutes before opening on MM. You head straight for Peter Pan, then do the prescribed order after that (I think it's something like PP, Dumbo, Matterhorn, Alice, Teacups, Toad, Snow White, Carrousel, Pinocchio, Space Mt., Buzz. Check Hydroguy's tips in the sticky thread at the top of the page; that has the MM thread). You can conceivably do ALL of these during MM, and TA DAAA! You've knocked all those rides off your "to do" list for the day. Then at the end of the hour, when the rest of the hordes enter DL, is when you start your Ridemax plan with the OTHER rides you wanted to do that day.

I love playing with Ridemax! Just remember that it doesn't always go according to plan, you have to be able to go with the flow if something happens to change your plans. (like getting your 3 kids up to head out for a 7 a.m. MM, and your oldest rushing to the bathroom to be sick! Oops! Change of plans! Happened to us in March!:sad1: )

One of the great things about RideMax is the little subtleties. Change one thing, and the plan shifts with you. I always put in every ride I want to try, then I change the time incriments by 5 minutes more or less, or pull one ride at a time. So, you can play around with it one small piece at a time.

Also, if you are park hopping, what I do is a whole day at DL with a break built in for DCA, for instance:

DL...May 12th...get in line for 1st at 9:00am, last at 7:50pm, then a break for 330 minutes at 12:30pm.

If you put in these perimeters, it will allow for a lunch break, then you can hop over to DCA until 6:00pm, and it will still have you collect FP's that you can use in DL at the end of the day, and it gives more wiggle room for rides that can have short lines either early or late.

I then construct a seperate plan for DCA from 1:15pm to 5:20pm or so.

I've seen it noted to make plans for different scenarios - maybe 2 or 3 for a day. For example, everyone sleep in - need a plan that starts later.

Are you taking your laptop? If so, you could make plans the night before depending on ride closures, extra sleep required, any rides that you were on that day that you don't need to do the following. Even if you don't have a printer you could jot it down on a small notepad.
