Need Restaurant idea's for 7 year old birthday

We are planning a trip for June for my son's 7th birthday. We went to Disneyland 3x last year and went to Blue Bayou each trip I want to try something different. We have been to goofy's kitchen as well several times. We have also done WOC dinner package twice. This trip I am planning a visit to Plaza Inn for the character breakfast, Cafe Orleans for a lunch, and we are also going to do the Fantasmic Dessert package. Can anyone suggest a good place for his birthday dinner? I plan to try Plaza Inn as well for the chicken as I hear it's very good is that a good place for dinner? I just want this trip to be very special. My hubby can't come so it's my 2 kids, myself, and and my mom. My Mom never goes to Disneyland so I want it to be fun and special for her as well. We are staying at the Grand so we will be in the heart of everything. I would love any suggestions. Thanks so much!

Storytellers at the GCH would be a nice dinner. The kids can make their own pizza which my son absolutely loved doing! You could also order a cake thru Disney Dining to be brought out to your table.

Rainforest Cafe is always fun for the kids but I will say the food has gone downhill......but my kids still love to go there.

So many choices........sounds like you've already done a lot of good ones & plan to do some this trip.

We always love doing the character meals for our birthday meals.....usually end up being breakfast parties.....but what a great way to start the day!!

For a Birthday Dinner maybe combine it with either F! or Magical(the summer fireworks). If you eat at the Plaza later and sit outside some seats are great to view the fireworks from. If you eat at River Belle Terrace some seat off a good(not great) view of F!. Of course both of these take some effort to get a table with a view, because other people will have these same ideas. So it can be crowded and you don't want the table with tree blocking the view.

Perhaps the dinner show at the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ would work.
