Hi, our family, me(24), DH(26), DS(2.5), DBro(20) and DMom(48), will all be in WDW in September with free dining!

I have checked out the park hours for our trip and just figured out where we will be each day (just got base tickets, so no hopping). We just got the regular dining plan and need some advice on which table service resterants we should try to get ADR's for. Could be for either lunch or dinner. We don't need to do character meals or anything like that, and we want to get the best bang for our buck if ya know what I mean? lol.

We'd also prefer not to do any places that requires 2 TS credits for one meal, since we are on a budget and would prefer to keep one TS for each day.

Sooooo, this is our schedule:

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios
Sept 15th - Epcot
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom

So any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Sooooo, this is our schedule:

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom 1900 Park Fare
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios Big River Grill & Brewing Works
Sept 15th - Epcot Biergarten
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom Boma

So any suggestions?
Thanks!!

1900 Park Fare I always recommend because the character interaction is great no matter what age and the food is good. Biergarten is superb with it's band and wonderful buffet (we've done this one a couple times!)

Here's info on Big River & Boma from our last trip:

We walked around the boardwalk a little then checked in to Big River for dinner. They do not take reservations here but we were seated immediately. We had a nice table by the window and could look out onto the Boardwalk while we dined. The restaurant looked about half empty. Our waitress was a delightful girl and since DH didn't know what the beers would taste like he asked her opinion. She told him some detail on each one and then he went with a coke as he was still unsure of what their beer would taste like. When our drinks were served, she brought DH a sample of one of the beers that she thought he may like. He ordered one then. DD17 & I ordered the ribs. We both agreed that they were the best we've ever had. DD17 orders ribs everywhere so for her to say that – it really means something. DSonIL ordered the mahi mahi and it was also delish. All 6 of us were eating off of each others plates the whole way through this meal because everything was delectable. I highly recommend this restaurant and we all believe it was the best meal of the trip. DD19 had the hazelnut chicken and it was to die for.

Boma is awesome. If you have any reservations about trying this restaurant – Just do it. Go and eat. Try something new, have an old favorite and enjoy everything. I did not like everything I tried, but I did find some new things and it was good. Another highly recommended meal. Oh and the little pineapple cheesecake is to die for. Forget those oh too sweet Zebra Domes. Go for the cheesecake. You won't regret it. No one has cheesecake like Boma.

I can tell you what I would do! I have a 2 year old DD, a 5 year old DD, DH and my mom who goes with us.

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom - For MK I would get breakfast using snack credits at Main Street Bakery (be there at rope drop). Lunch at Crystal Palace and dinner at Columbia Harbor House (or switch lunch and dinner).
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios - Breakfast would be cereal or snacks in the room. I loved lunch at Sci- fi this year but we're doing lunch or dinner at 50's Prime-time this year. Which resort are you staying at by the way? There might be something there.
Sept 15th - Epcot - Breakfast in the room, lunch at Sunshine Seasons and then dinner at Le Cellier.
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom - Definitely breakfast at Tusker House!!! YUM!

We went in November with my daughter, who was 11 at the time, and my nephew who was 3 at the time. MK we ate at Tony's which we really love even though I know it gets slammed from time to time. We also did Crystal Palace but I think that's 2 credits because of the character.

Hollywood Studios, we love Sci Fi. The food is very kid friendly and sitting in cars entertains them.

Epcot it's all about Coral Reef for us. The aquarium is tops.

Animal Kingdom I've only eaten at Tusker House for the breakfast, but I found the buffet food very pretty good.

Sooooo, this is our schedule:

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom I would consider taking the monorail to either Kona or Ohana
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios :sad2:
Sept 15th - Epcot Tutto Italia or Teppan Ido
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom Yak n Yeti

So any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Hope that helps! :wizard:

Here's my suggestions:

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom -- Crystal Palace Breakfast or Liberty Tree with Pinocchio Village House for counter service

Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios- 50's Prime Time

Sept 15th - Epcot -- Definitely Le Cellier

Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom - Yak n Yeti with Flame Tree for counter service

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom- We always like Ohana's, try to book it with Wishes going off. We had a great meal at Liberty Tree Tavern as well.
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios- Personally I would go outside of the Park for dinner at a Resort Close by.
Sept 15th - Epcot- Le Cellier if you can get it! Epcot has many good dinner options.
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom - Go to BOMA! It's the best. Don't go to Rainforest unless you can't get BOMA. I can't recommend BOMA enough. Plus AKL is just an awesome place to stroll around in.

Sept 13th - Magic Kingdom - Breakfast - Ohana's (then monorail to MK) or Crystal Palace
Sept 14th - Hollywood Studios - Prime Time or Sci-Fi
Sept 15th - Epcot - Maybe Cape Mays breakfast (then walk to Epcot)
Sept 16th - Animal Kingdom - Tusker House breakfast or Yak and Yeti TS

:)

Thanks everyone, this is alot to take in, lol.

I know for sure we want to do Whispering Canyon on one of the days for either lunch or dinner (we wanna try the skillet!)

I'm looking through all these and their reviews and trying to find the best ones :)

Here are some that we enjoyed on past visits and will be going back to again for our August trip:

MK - take the monorail and go to 'Ohana or Kona Cafe
AKL - Boma
HS - Sci Fi Dine In
Epcot - Teppan Edo, Le Cellier, Garden Grill

Magic Kingdom- chef mickey quick monorail, ohana- quick monorail or crystal palace -located in magic Kingdom

Hollywood studios- mama melrose or hollywood vine for character interaction

Epcot- Princess dinner or lunch if you have girls, or Coral House fro aquarium

Animal Kingdom- tusker house for character breakfast, pizzafari for QS, and we are trying Sanaa menu looks yummy,a nd good reviews

Hope this helps, I have 2 girls and they are thrilled with these choices for trip next week!:lovestruc!

MK - I agree with taking the monorail to Kona! Columbia Harbor House for CS lunch

AK - Tusker House breakfast was really fun! Pizzafari for CS

HS - 50's Prime Time for TS. Don't really like the CS there so I don't have any suggestions. I would probably pay OOP for Sci Fi at lunch if I could get it.

Epcot - so many choices here! Le Cellier or Tutto Italia are probably my two fav TSs. For lunch we like to split several combo platters as we nibble around the countries!

Ok, I think I've figured out what we'd like to do:

MK - Crystal Palace for dinner
HS - Head over to AKL for Whispering Canyon (anyone know the best way to get there and how long it will take?) I'm thinking dinner, hopefully an earlier time se we can go back to the park after if there is time.
E- Le Cellier - dinner
AK - Donalds Safari Breakfast at Tusker House

Now to let my TA know and hope that I can get what I want, lol

Whispering Canyon is actually in the Wilderness Lodge. There is a bus that goes from DHS to the WL so transportation shouldn't be an issue other than the wait for the bus each way.

whoops, yes the wilderness lodge, lol.
Do you know how long the bus ride is?

Thanks!
