Need recommendation for QS in Magic Kingdom

I absolutely loved early BOG breakfast. Wish they’d bring that back
I always wanted to try BOG for either breakfast or lunch (when it was quick service). We never got around to it and now it's not available, sadly.

I absolutely love Disney chicken tenders, so Cosmic Ray's is my go to. They also have hot dogs that my kiddos love. EPCOT and Animal Kingdom have fancier QS options.

For breakfast I liked the Cheshire Cat Tail at the Cheshire Cafe. They also have coffee and tea, and it’s convenient if you do early entry. I’ve heard the cinnamon roll at Gaston’s Tavern is good but haven’t tried it yet.

We like Pecos Bill’s and Colombia Harbor House for QS lunch or dinner. We went to both in the spring of 2022 and winter of 2023 and had no complaints. We’re not Casey’s Corner fans. We also didn’t really care for the spring rolls cart when we tried it.

If you want really good food go to a monorail resort.

If it's open, Golden Oak Outpost (a kiosk) at the back of Adventure Land usually has fun stuff. Looks like currently they have a loaded chicken strips with fixings. It's right across from the outdoor/porch seating for Pecos and Tortuga as well - so it's easy to grab a table in the shade.

You know I hadn't thought about going to a monorail resort for lunch but it could be doable. Probably will stay in the park though. Thanks for the ideas!

At MK - I just tell people to review the QS menus and see what appeals to them. I don't think any of it is "awesome food" - it's just decent mass-produced theme park food. Sadly, all my go-to's at MK were victims of the pandemic; so I'm in the camp of just find something when hungry now.

The chicken and waffle sandwich is on my must do list over pretty much any other food item/restaurant including Dole Whip. Yes I said it.

Friars Nook has passable tots and Mac n cheese
Pinocchio Haus specialty flatbreads are pretty good
Sunshine Tree Terrace has potstickers

Take the WL boat over and hit Geyser Point QS, the open-air lounge at WL. We've had some icky food at Roaring Fork, the main QS. Skip it. My waffles were gooey in the middle once.

Excellent sandwiches and snacks at GP. The bison burger description may sound weird, but my picky DH said it's deeeelish.

We also like Gaspy's at the GF. They have some tasty salads in the cold case there. DH said the Cuban was pretty good, and he grew up eating those in NYC. High praise from him.

Menu is much more limited than pre-pandemic but better this year than when we were at the GF 2 years ago. Used to be open 24/7 but now from only 6:00 am-midnight. Still a good place for food or snacks late-night.

The boat ride from MK/GF is short and a good way to cool off.

Our MK "must do" lunch is Adventureland Spring Roll Cart for the cheeseburger egg rolls. It opens at 11AM. Line gets long quick because it's super popular. We grab egg rolls and sit at the tables behind the Christmas Shoppe in the shade and watch the noon Festival of Fantasy parade as it crosses the bridge. We are almost always joined by various Princesses who hang out with us and wave at the parade as it passes by.

Note - the spring roll cart usually offers the cheeseburger egg roll and one other variety, which varies.

I don't see walking taco on the menu. Is this something they used to have?
Can you copy/paste where you find it, please?
It looks like they’ve recently removed it because it was still on the menu a few weeks ago when I was checking them for our trip next month.

I know you said you would probably stay in the park but if you wanted to take a little monorail ride......Capt Cooks at the Poly has awesome pulled pork nachos. We do that on one of our MK days.

I've stayed GF at my last few stays and transportation is frustratingly slow. GF food options are better, but they are slower and harder to get to. If you must go offsite for lunch, take the TTC ferry (runs constantly) to Poly, walk to lobby and do mobile order.

But I wouldn't waste park time for slightly better food over passable fries and pizza if your park time is limited.

So if you don’t like hot dogs you’re out of luck at Casey’s? The mint julip slushy sounds intriguing though!

Our last trip did Nutella waffle for a mid-morning snack, Columbia Harbor House for lunch and dole whip for afternoon snack. The nice thing about Columbia HH is that you’re guaranteed an air conditioned place to sit upstairs.

The best things at MK are snacks. The quick service as others have said is the least appealing of the four parks. Plus, since the re-opening it has become even worse.. less options and lower quality. Casey’s is probably the best option. You could always monorail over to one of the resorts along the Magic Kingdom loop and get quick service there.

Hi. I'm curious to see Casey's mentioned so many time. How are the fries there?
Standard Disney fries like you'd find in the food court, but usually fresh. The key, however, is getting them with chili and cheese. Those fries alone are a decent meal.

I forgot about Capt Cooks! That might be worth the trip. Thanks!
