I am looking to purchase a new pair of women's walking shoes for our next trip to Disney, and I am looking for some recommendations.

I would prefer a pair that is not too expensive (under $75), but if the shoes are worth it, I would spend more.

I currently have a pair of Nike Zoom Air, and I like that they are very light.

I tend to have back/hip pain, so I need to make sure my next pair of walking shoes are very comfortable! :cool1:

TIA!:flower3:

this is the Disboards......everybody knows the answer is CROCS:thumbsup2

I swear by them

::yes:: Crocs are by far the most comfortable shoe to spend a day on your feet in. When I was having ankle problems a couple of years ago and had to wear a soft boot in the parks (the kind you wear with a shoe), I started out in my Nikes, thinking more support would be better, but my foot and ankle ached by the afternoon, so I tried my Crocs the next day and they were way more comfy!

As always, I'm going with the Reebok Princess. It isn't the most stylish shoe on the planet, but it is super comfy.

My whole life, I've had foot problems. When I finally went to a podiatrist, he asked what kind of shoe I normally wore and I pointed to them sitting on the floor and said I'd been wearing them for 20 years. I said that I'd tried Nike Air and others, but - and he cut me off.

With a wave of his hand, he said, "They're all crap. That's a good shoe. I call it 'The Nursing Reebok' because so many of my nurse patients wear it or try it and like it." And I said that was funny because I'm a nurse.

Every foot is different and most people don't have the kind of foot problems I did. But it is a good shoe.

I never wear anything else. To work, to the store, to church (all dressed up with my Reeboks on - told the priest that if the good Lord had wanted me to wear nice shoes to church, he'd have given me better feet), to dress-up functions, whatever. That's ALL I wear.

Well, in the summer, I'll wear Crocs out to get the mail or turn the sprinkler system on/off or whatever. Crocs are comfy, but I've never worn them while walking all day long. And they're hideous, too. Hideous doesn't matter when it comes to comfort, but...yeesh, they're ugly.

I wear New Balance cross trainers.. they fit and are comfy. I got DH to try them and now he wears nothing else.

OP, you will LOVE this walking shoe. I bought them at The Walking Store here in Southern Ca. I have had them since July. Absolutely no break-in at all....they are undeniably the most comfortable sneaker I have ever owned. I work out every day. I walk 5 days a week between 7-10,000 steps daily. They are in wonderful shape and it has been six months. I just happened to try them after looking at them and reading about ECCO!!! :thumbsup2

I love my Reebok Princess as well as my Beach Crocs but would not want to spend all day in Disney with either of them on....I need more support. ::yes::

I too love New Balance Cross Trainers! I've never gotten a blister and they do not need to be broken in. I buy a new pair right before I go to Disney and never have a problem.

:lmao:

I have three pairs.... but when I took them on our last trip they made my feet sweat :crazy2: , and I got blisters :scared: ). I think I am the ONLY person that can't wear crocs. :sad1:

I won't wear the traditional crocs, but I have much love for the flip flops. :goodvibes

For a day at WDW, I go with Nike Air Structure Triax. I can go 12 hours in those babies without a whimper out of my feet.
