Otherwise I would have posted it on the recipe board. A woman here brought in a quiche made with stove top stuffing - it is used at the crust. It has sausage and cheese and egg in it. I would LOVE to make this for our picnic tomorrow. Any clue as to the recipe?????? She said it was on a box of stuffing. I looked at the kraft site, and they have a stuffing type casserole, but that's not it..

Thanks!!:bounce:

I found this on www.stovetop.com There is another one called Fiesta Pie, but it doesn't have sausage in it. This one is called EAsy Brunch Casserole:

Ingredients
2 cups STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix in the Canister, any flavor

2 cups milk

1/2 lb. bulk sausage, cooked, crumbled

6 eggs

1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation
MIX all ingredients in large bowl.

SPOON into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.

BAKE at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.

I am supposed to go to a picnic in your area tomorrow! Is it the same one???:)

This isn't exactly what you are looking for but it has a stuffing crust:

Turkey Quiche

5 large eggs
2 1/2 -3 c leftover stuffing or half of a 6 oz pkg bread stuffing mix, prepared according to pkg directions
1 c shredded Swiss cheese
1 c diced cooked turkey
1/3 c thinly sliced green onions
1/2 c sliced mushrooms
1 c half and half
salt and pepper

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beat one egg till blended then add stuffing and mix well. Press stuffing mixture over bottom and up sides of a greased 10" pie pan or deep quiche pan. Bake on lowest rack of oven at 425° until stuffing is crisp and dry to touch, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven, reduce temperature to 350°

Sprinkle cheese over bottom and sides of stuffing crust, then top crust evenly with turkey, onions, and mushrooms.

Beat remaining eggs, then stir in half and half and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour over turkey mixture.

Bake on lowest rack of oven until filling appears set when pan is gently shaken, about 30 minutes.

Let stand for at least 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.

Thank you so much!!! This last one sounds just like it - only with sausage! I suppose I could add my own ingredients :)

Diane - my picnic is at Como - where's yours??
