So, I was sure I was doing the right thing when I did it... now I'm kind of in a limbo of worry that I messed up.

Original Plan: 7 day 1 bedroom suite on the Fantasy Halloween on the High Seas
New Plan: B2B 3 day on the wish non concierge 2 4 day concierge also on the Wish - both being Halloween on the High Seas sailings - and the 4 day sets sail on Halloween Day.

Which will leave me just enough to also be able to swing a Merrytime Christmas trip out of San Diego that debarks 2 days before Christmas Day.

Why do you think I'm so nervous?

But I KNEW I wanted to do the Wish, I thought I would have to wait until next year - but then I found concierge on the Wish for the same time period, which until night before last I never would have thought possible. And on top of that it was a Halloween Cruise on HALLOWEEN! And I could avoid going back to Florida next year, The only reason I wanted the original was the thought of that one bedroom suite. Let's face it, Concierge on the Dream class is kind of lacking. Small lounge, no views on the private sun deck... but the Wish Concierge? Dedicated bar, 3 times the size, private sun deck with views, 2 whirlpools... AND the Wish is my dream ship, it's like somebody was paying attention when people like me cried in our wine tasting that we couldn't access the kids clubs and the theming within.

Then I started thinking 4 days wouldn't be enough to really explore the ship without stress, so tacking on a 3 day with concierge BEFORE the 4 day on Halloween would give me more time to explore at leisure. More time to try all the restaurants, more time to explore not only the shows, but BOTH movie theaters on board. I can do most of the running around the ship during those 3 days and have more time to explore the lounge and all that concierge has to offer on the 4 day.

Then I realized if I bump the 3 day from concierge to veranda I could do a 5 day merrytime that would disembark 2 days before Christmas day and that sounded fairly awesome. Especially when I considered that meant we could go ahead and spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in LA, so much less depressing then doing Christmas at home with no family and just the 2 of us.

Then we can start saving for next October - 7 day on the Celebrity Equinox in a Celebrity level suite with a package that will let us eat all the specialty dining rooms we want.

And having done the Wish I can start focusing out of San Diego and Los Angeles, at least until Disney can give me a 7 day ship in the Titan class (assuming they do the theming like the wish).

And thank you for teasing me - defending myself helped me remember why I made the choices I made.
I thought your scheduled cruise was your once in a lifetime trip. 😆

You haven’t stepped foot on the ship and you are already making plans for another cruise. Welcome to the club.

One of the concerns I see is I believe from your past post you want a cabana on castaway which will be harder to get as concierge on the wish vs the fantasy

I was aware when I made the jump that I had made getting a cabana almost impossible... but there were other things that make up for it, for instance the Wish looks (for me) to just be a better ship, if I need to I'll just skip castaway Cay and do a couples villa on the ship that day... but, that said, the ability and willingness to accept a cabana at Serenity Bay if I have to might also make it easier for us than for those with children to consider.

If you are okay with that I definitely say go for it this way you get 7 nights to explore the wish and get to go on another cruise in December

So glad you could tell I was teasing. I hear Spectrums don’t always pick up on language cues.

[I just took a RAADS-R self test since my sister and niece are questionable. (They often take what I say so literally.). Nope, not even close for me. But it gave me a little better insight into what others experience. It sounds exhausting.)] It makes me glad to hear you both planning and being able to change plans!

You have some great adventures ahead. I have done both Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merry Christmas Time cruises. I really appreciate Christmas decorations, be they on the ships or in the Parks. But that is what I find to be the uniqueness of those seasonal sailings. Just going on your first cruise - and on a shiny new ship is something special. It doesn’t necessarily end there - I’m looking forward to Disney Cruise #19 coming up in two weeks!

.I don't always pick up on language cues, but I have a rule of thumb to help with that on the internet. Unless someone has given me reason to think they're a jerk, always assume the kindest motive... you've been great, so I assume teasing.

Don't think that changing these plans was easy, not by a long shot. I'm still caught up in anxiety and actually having nightmares...

Yeah, if I can keep reminding myself I didn't give up the other trip for a trip on the Wish, or at least not JUST the wish but also the Merrytime Cruise - if I can do that, I can keep steady.
