Need Reassurance!!!!!!!!

Hi All...First our thanks to this wonderful site...could not have afforded trip otherwise!Trip planned 2/7-2/6 CSR,CSMGE (off-site) 2/6-2/10.DH,DD(10)& DS(6). Last visit 5/95 for 4 days off-site. Major fear....4th of July!?!?!?!?Will we survive the crowds? Are thrilled to be at CSR but worried we'll never see it. Should we bite the bullet and get 5 day hopper's and take the 4th off to enjoy resort? Kids love SW and want plenty of time to enjoy it too. 8 days suddenly seems too short but are already pushing the blasted budget!!!ANY help and honest 4th reports are anxiously awaited!!!

I never experienced WDW over the 4th, but, I can imagine just how busy it will be.

Since you are staying onsite at CSR, I would probably take the day to have and relax by the pool, and then in the evening go to WDW to watch the fireworks.

What's the 4th without fireworks???

Have fun, I can't believe your going to miss Ribfest!!!!

Wow...small world, eh? I am going to miss rib-fest as we have gone for the last 12 years in a row....but need to put kiddies first this time and due to work can only get that week off.I will probably stress out untill we return!

FinFan, I'm working on a reply to your e-mail (kinda snowed under at home ), but I'm having trouble reading those dates of yours. I take it you have 4 days at CS and 4 days at Comfort Suites MGE? And those 8 days take in July 4th? I also read it that on July 4 you will be at CS? Which means you will qualify for early entry? And, as July 4 is a Wednesday, that means ee at MGM. So, worry not! That ee should give you a good couple of hours at the head of the crowds (and crowds there will sure be), which means you can afford to take a break and come back later on for the evening fun. If you can afford it, I would definitely book the Fantasmic dinner package, which will get you reserved seating at that show later on (your youngest may not be able to survive for the second show of the evening!).

Don't forget also, that even if you don't use all the days on your pass, they will be valid for a return at some stage in future. You probably will want to chill out back at CS at some stage (afternoon of July 4 might be the best time!), and the pool area there is great, and very kid-friendly.
