Hi everyone! I just got back from the eye dr. and need to get over the counter readers (1.50) which I am thrilled about:cool1: It saves on getting
a new Rx which I thought would be the case. Anyway, does anyone have an online place they order these from? I know people order their Rx's online, but was wondering if there's a place for these simple ones. I saw a Vera Bradley pair but they were $28 (I know - nothing compared to getting prescription glasses).. thanks!

I don't know of anywhere specific online, but you might try Amazon, Overstock, or some of those types of places. I know that locally, there are a TON of retailers that sell those, from dollar stores to more high end places. The shop that I work in carries cute frames for 5-10 each. :) Good luck!

You're really lucky -- readers are EVERYWHERE. I have a friend with 50+ pairs and a lot of them came from the Target dollar spot. You can go to Target, Walmart, drug stores, etc.

Thanks! I had a pair I bought last year just to throw in my purse as a backup for my prescription ones. They were from Harmon and I paid like $6 for them. I thought they were great, however, today when I tried on the Vera Bradley ones there was a world of difference. So, I think I want to stay away from the cheaper ones (I know this is a budget board, but...). I know my Costco has a 3 pack, but would love a pair for the beach that is tinted. I was just checking out QVC and Joan Rivers has some that has lenses that actually change color if your outdoors. My search continues....

The ones I am using right now came from Walgreens. They are Foster Grants. They carry several lines I think from 9.98 to 19.98 each. Check their sale paper or website. They have deals on them a lot. Most of the time it's B1G1F, but occasionally it will be B1G2F.

I second Walgreens. Also, if you have CVS in your area watch their adds too. If one has the sale the other usually has it the next week. :)

If you have a Steinmart in your area you can find "cheaters" in both cute styles and tinted for around $19

I buy DH's readers at BJ's or Costco. They sell a 3 pack for under $20 and their frames are much nicer than the dollar store frames.

check Micheals Craft Store. I bought really cute ones there, and I could use the 40% off coupon. You might have to ask someone where to find them, they tend to move around.

I also buy them at the Dollar Spot at Target. I buy a lot of them, and leave them in different purses, different places in the house, etc. They aren't made very well, but they work and for $1, they don't have to last forever.
