Here's my problem. I don't own/wear sandals or anything similar, hate flip-flops. I always went to WDW in winter until my April trip this year. I always always wear sneakers and athletic socks at WDW. That was fine, until my big downpour adventure at AK this year.
So, here's where I need advice. I figure I'll look at some Keens before next April's trip (looking at the ones that look a lot like sneakers). I am not too proud to wear Keens With Socks, but won't they fit differently with/without the socks? I'm not used to wearing shoes without socks, not sure I want to do that all the time unless it's wet and I have to. (I guess I need some "body glide" or similar, too? I never have any blisters or foot problems with my socks/sneakers.)
I'm not sure how to predict on what park days I'll need the Keens (even when I'm there and watching the local morning weather on every tv station). I know the rains are so unpredictable; 50% chance of an afternoon storm means you could get drowned or not see a drop. I carry a small crossbody, so can't really carry a change of shoes/socks - and I still want to wear my sneakers when I can.
I already know I'll have to invest in some capris (yeah, I'm weird, I own one pair of capris and no shorts). I love a lot about April, but I miss those Feb days where jeans and sneakers were all you needed.
