Need Rainforest Cafe Safari Club Card: Help!

Is anyone heading down to Disney World prior to August? My husband and I will be going to Rainforest Cafe during our trip, and Id like to sign up for the Safari Club. I can PM you my address if you could mail me the membership information. My understanding is that I can only get this at a Rainforest cafe site.

Safari Club is becoming the Landry's Select Club. You can purchase that membership online. Here's a link:

You might not even need to do it before you get there. You can probably purchase it when you go, and they'll just give you a temporary card. Otherwise, if you're more comfortable doing it now, you should have plenty of time to get your card, and you might even get a coupon by your trip. Have a great time!

When we first signed up, we did it at the Rainforest... got the benefits right then and there.

We were in T-Rex and the Rainforest Cafe in October and they both said they would not be taking the Safari Club card in the near future. If you have a Safari Club card, go the the Landry Select site and transfer the card.
The bad news is that the Landry Select Card is more expensive if you are buying a card.

I went online to get the Landry's card and you also get $25 loaded onto the card on your birthday month. Mt DH's Bday is Oct. when we will be in WDW, so I got the card in his name for the extra spending money!

I saw the Landry Select Club online. I just wasnt sure if this would get me the extras at Rainforest Cafe. If it does, I can just do it online. Anyone know for sure? I know many of you said it was changing. Should I just contact Landry and find out.

I just switched my Rainforest Card to Landry's over the internet last week for free. Please note that with Landry's you no longer get a free app or a discount on your meal. You get the $25 dollar discount when you enroll and PAY $25 for it, the birthday $25 discount during your birthday month only, priority seating, and 10% off retail.

Safari Club is no more. From the FAQs on the link provided in this thread:

"Safari Club is being upgraded to the Landry’s Select Club. The last day Safari Club benefits will be accepted is March 31, 2012. "

In answer to the FAQ "What benefits will I receive when I join the Landry’s Select Club?":

"You will continue to receive priority seating privileges. You will still receive 10% off retail, which will now be available to you at all Landry’s retail outlets except for locations where points are awarded. As part of Landry’s Select Club you will also receive the following membership benefits: $25 Birthday Reward, $25 Reward for every $250 you spend, exclusive member-only offers and easy account access."

My dh's b-day is May 15th and we are going to DL May 22nd. If I sign up for this right now, will I get a card in the mail, And $50.00 on it for the $25.00? Also, isn't there a way to get a free kids meal?

I plan on signing up for the Landry's card because we go to WDW on Sept. 23rd and my birthday is Sept. 9th - so plan on using that $50 towards our meal at T-Rex during our stay. That's the one meal we have to pay for - everything else on the DDP. But I'm also interested in any info on getting a free kids meal - I heard there are coupons, but don't know where to find them. Also, does anyone know if you can use the Landry's card $50 towards your purchase AND a coupon?

from what I read ... it sounds like in order to use the $25 welcome reward, you have to register it online first. When I signed up...it said if I would be dining before my card arrives in the mail, to come back to the site to print off my membership #. Also the terms state that you can't combine your rewards with other promos...and I'm assuming the kid's reward calendars fall under this?
That's too bad because with $25 sign-up + $25 B-day... I'll be at Rainforest cafe during my B-day month... I could have had a $0 bill if they also allowed the kid's reward charts!

The b-day reward is issued on the 1st of the b-day month

Planning to use the $25 welcome rewards & $25 birthday gift on my Landry's card in Oct. I have $.99 Kids meal calenders and since we are doing RF and TRex, I can use the rewards at one and the $.99 kids meal deal at the other.
I also have gift cards to use but those should be same as cash.

I was looking for the kids reward certificate on Rainforest Cafe website. I couldn't find it. So I called and spoke with a manager. He stated that they have discontinue the kids reward certificate for the kids meal for $1.99. I didn't bother by asking if it can be use if I already had printed it out because I told him that I wanted to print it for my upcoming trip to Orlando in July. Bummer....cause it could have save us a little plus the select card.

I really hope they honor those that were printed before this change over took place, because we have had them printed and completed before I even heard of this. I am going to be very annoyed if I can't use it. Not that they will care.
