Calling all you travel experts!! I am interested in the quickest route to Allstar Music from Sanford airport. We are arriving around 9 P.M. and want to get there as soon as we can to see our DS who is in the College Program! A couple years back we "kind of" got lost and it seemed to take forever with the route going through lots of towns with lots of red lights:sad2:. My husband has it programmed into his phone but I am just wondering if you all have any suggestions? Mapquest says SR 417 Toll S to I-4W--does that sound right? Thanks so much--ONE more sleep(but I'm too excited to sleep)!

Quickest is what Mapquest shows: 417 South takes you right to Exit 6, where you get off and drive directly to AS Music. No lights, no towns, no red lights.

It "probably" is the fastest, particularly at that time of night. Just have plenty of quarters handy.

A more direct route would be I-4 all the way, but the traffic south of downtown Orlando would be an unknown - maybe O.K. and maybe not.

Thank you for the quick responses:worship:! Now just hoping for no flight delay from Ohio--the weather is sooooo cold here and you just never know since we have had record snowfall this season:sad1:.

I-4 traffic should be light around downtown Orlando at that time of night.

Unless NBA basketball is still going on and an Orlando Magic home game lets out at the new Amway arena with 17,000+ fans in attendance. It is located right next to I-4 in downtown Orlando.

It's a shorter drive distance wise via I-4 than 417, plus there are no tolls on I-4 and 417 is a toll road. I would expect that traffic wouldn't be that bad at that time of night.

I would take I-4 to exit 65 (approx 33 miles) and follow to Osceola Parkway west. Proceed 2.5 miles to ramp for All Star Resort. At end of ramp turn left onto Buena Vista Drive and follow directly into All Star Resort.
