First, let me say that DGD's teacher is awesome and she understands my limitation this week. However, I want DGD to enjoy the project and do a good job. Last Monday, her teacher sent home a 2-week project on a dinosaur. This is second grade and it is due may 2nd. The problem is that I got my new knee replacement that same day and came home from the hospital over the weekend, so we are already behind.
Yes, we have other family members that have been helping with homework but she needs special help in how to do new things, process tasks, etc.... so I told everybody I would do it when I got home. Her research is done and the paper is almost done, too.
Also, I am the kind of parent that has the kids do it themselves. I suggest, help plan, ask questions, etc... but they are not "museum-ready" projects from our house!
So, here's the bottom line:
-Going out shopping is not a viable option unless I have a specific list for somebody else OR I can order online.
-I'm on pain meds and not very creative at the moment. I need ideas for a 2nd grader.
-I have a 4" T-rex toy, plastic palm trees, other small dinos, and lots of craft supplies around the house.
(Typos, repetitive statements, rambling, and other conversational variations are due to pain med. Lots of them.)
Help!
