Need quick help- towels at water parks?

Hello! My daughter is leaving with her music program for a Disney Trip on Thursday and the leader reached out to me to see if I knew if Typhoon Lagoon has towels provided or if they need to plan for that. They're getting conflicting information and I'm searching here but not finding a quick answer.
They're staying on property if that matters.

Towels are available. I believe if they are staying at a WDW-owned resort, they just scan their MB or ticket and there is no fee.

We always took them from our resort pool and returned them there when we got back.

Its been a couple years since I last went to the water parks. But my memory was that a few years ago you could not get free towels there. We brought ours from the resort we were staying at. But it seems that policy has changed

We went to TL in May and there were plenty of towels available at the park

Free towels for non Disney resort guests? That would be a change from previous trips.

Free towels for resort guests, the last time they just asked which resort we were at and didn't even scan a MB.

It's has a cost for non Disney resort guests.
