Need quick answer about which airport for DLR???

I know we can fly into Orange County but we could get a better deal flying into Long Beach. How much farther is the Long Beach airport from DLR?

Dont quote my exactness, but I will say no more than 10 mi nutes more than from Orange County.
We will be flying into Long Beach.
Disney transportation does not service Long Beach, if that is of issue for you
I have heard nothing but great things about Long Beach airport

John Wayne/Santa Anna/Orange County--13.28 miles, 18 minutes

Love Long Beach. The airport is so easy to get around and the drive to the parks is not that much longer. No more than 10 minutes or so more. For the price, definitely choose Long Beach.

Although John Wayne is closer to DL than Long Beach, I find it much easier and quicker to get to DL from Long Beach.

Here's the easy route if you're driving yourself: Mapquest.

We LOVE LGB. Just something to keep in mind- it is sooo small that you will not find McDonald's or Cinnabons. There is a very small snack bar that is not open later in the day. There is a great restaurant that overlooks the tarmacks but it is before you go through security.

Also, this is one of those airports where you exit the plane directly onto the tarmack. But we litereally got off the plane. potty break, got our luggage and were in our arranged town car in less than 15 minutes. amazing!!!

My kids will love that!!! DH not so much....with 2 Britax carseats and who knows how many carry-ons!

We love LGB ~ but a word of warning - I traveled once with our Britax Marathon and never again, it's a beast. DD's travel seat is the Cosco Scenera ~ cheap, light weight, great traval/2nd seat. It only holds up to 40 lbs but I figure once DD reaches that weight/or is too tall for it (which will probably happen 1st) I'll just gate check a backless booster for her. When we got to DLR we stay at DLR so she's only in a vehicle from LGB to our hotel and back again. Have a great time!
