I need some advice on running a quest. What should you do if someone sits there asking the answer to every question? I'm perfectly happy to help people who get stuck, I know some of my questions are pretty tricky. A lot of people have tried really hard at this quest, and have been prepared to go back a few steps if they make a mistake, but now I have someone asking every question. If I just tell her the answer straight away, she will get higher than some other people who were prepared to guess, which I don't think is fair, but I don't want to refuse to help her.

Has anyone else tackled this, and if so, what did you do? TIA! :thumbsup2

There are several options:
1 - Tell them straigh out, I am happy to help, but how about you try on your own for a while now.

2 - Oh my! I have to step afk for a second. You can do it. brb

3 - Talk her through the answers. "Well, what does it ask you to do?" "Where does that look like to you?" "Have you seen the movie?" etc.... This way you are helping, but not giving the answers - also slows her down to address your concern of her finishing first.

Thank you for your help! I tried to slow her down, by 'not understanding' what she was asking, so hopefully that was enough. I tried to give her clues, but she just said they didn't help and demanded the answer . I think she quit the quest because it didn't give her a prize straight away, so I don't know whether she has placed or not. Is there anyway to get a full list of who has played your quest, not just the top players?

Something that I have seen done if the quest doesn't involve your room as much (picking up items, etc), edit the quest to add a small task to make you leave the room - they don't come back often.

Jegrezo's ideas were great too :) hehe
