MY prayers are with you and your little man this morning, Nikki. Best wishes they come up with what is causing this. You guys hang in there, and please do stop by to let us know how you and he are doing.
P & PD on the way. It is so difficult to watch our children suffer. I hope the doctors can resolve what ever is wrong with your DS and that he continues to thrive and be a happy little boy.
Nikki

I cannot express how greatful I am for all of you here. Your thoughts and prayers are so appreciated. Thank you all.
Well the power of prayer really works!! I am happy to report that my son doesn't need to go into the hospital. Not now anyway. He did gain weight!! 10 ounces in 2 weeks. It's not much, but for him it is alot. He has to be monitored again every week. So we will have to bring him to the Dr. every week to be weighed. He still has an appt. with a specialist in gastroenterology. That isn't until Feb. My Dr. was happy that he's gaining and since he had so many tests when he was 3mo she doesn't think medically there's anything wrong. She really things it's a feeding issue. She also thinks since he had severe reflux he might have gotten use to throwing up after his meals and now does it because it's a learned behavior. This is common with babies that have had sever reflux. She just wants to see that he is able to gain and tolerate the food he is eating. We have to take it week by week and there is always a chance he could go back into the hospital if he doesn't gain enough weight. I have to watch when/if he gets sick because if he gets a stomac virus the Dr. said he doesn't have enough reserve to help him fight it. He would get dehydrated and cannot afford to loose any weight.
So, I'm really happy that he is on the right tract but, I'll never stop worrying!
Sorry it took me till now to updat everyone. My dad and sister are here for the weekend
So happy to hear about the little guy! My ds8 was a preemie with reflux/feeding issues, and I understand what you're going through! Suddenly, everything just worked itself out--he is now less than a foot shorter than I, and 70 lbs.! Continued prayers for your ds's good health--I am so happy for your good news!
A great update, Nikki. Thanks. And continued prayers for your little guy, so nice to hear about the 10 oz. Enjoy the weekend, a little peace of mind. And true, you will never stop worrying, even 25 years from now.
