Some good reports and continued prayers please. (this is pulled straight from the church update).
Wednesday June 17th 2:00pm
The family has a praise to share with everyone. On their most recent visit with Lindsay today she was responsive to them. She saw them and acknowledged their presence. She even attempted to communicate with them by mouthing words and trying to spell things with her mouth. Jessica said that Lindsay even rolled her eyes when she tried to tell her something funny. The family was greatly encouraged by this visit.
Lindsay’s fever is still an issue. The doctors took several cultures and none grew anything. They were told this would indicate an absence of bacteria that would cause an infection. However, something is causing this fever and they ask everyone to pray for God to remove whatever is causing it or to give those attending her a special insight and wisdom to determine its source.

Lindsay continued to attempt to communicate with and was very responsive with the family on their final visit this evening. During the visit she asked Steve about Ewan and he shared with her that Ewan was in heaven with Jesus. The nurses had encouraged them to go ahead and share this with Lindsay should she ask about Ewan. Please pray for Lindsay as she processes this and deals with this tragic news. This has been a very difficult night for the family. One praise was that Lindsay’s vital signs remained stable during this entire time.
Since Lindsay is now able to hear and remember things, the family has begun to read to her the comments posted on this blog. They have shared that this has been a real source of encouragement to Lindsay. They ask for everyone to please post a comment to Lindsay on this blog and they will print it out and read it to her in her room on one of their visits. They feel that this will be an important means of encouragement to Lindsay at this crucial time. They thank you very much.
Please pray for Lindsay’s fever to come down, as it still remains elevated at this time. One final prayer request from Jessica is for the nurses in the ICU this evening as they are short staffed tonight and not able to have an individual nurse beside each patient as they normally do. Please pray for God to bring Lindsay to their attention frequently this evening to ensure that, should she have any pain needs, they will be able to swiftly identify this and respond.
