Hi- My daughter begins a professional internship at Hollywood Studios on June 11 and we need help with recommendations regarding areas to look and apartment complexes to research. She doesn't want to live too far from HS and wants her own room (in an apartment with other people) and would expect to pay around $500 a month. So far, we've been reading about two areas: Windermere (with apartments like Windermere Cay, Colonial Grand, I think Abaco Key, and Buena Vista Place) or the area around World Gateway (near 417 I think) which includes Cane Island Apartments, Camden World Gateway, and Century Palms. Obviously, safety is the number one priority...and then, all the rest! Does anyone have any thoughts on these areas or these apartments?
Thank you!!

My daughter is currently a PI living in a 3 br at Bella Apts which is very close to Animal Kingdom and Celebration. Safe, clean and reasonable.

We are still looking too. My daughter will stay with a family friend temporarily if we are unable to secure something before she has to be back in Florida for "Traditions" and to start working. We are kind of afraid to jump into anything too quickly. Windermere area was nice, but the apartments we looked at in that area had waiting lists until October and November. Hopefully, something will open up soon.

There is a group on FB for CMs to post. Search Disney World Cast Member Apartment/Roommate Finder

So far, the apartment complexes that we have contacted all seem to have availability - in fact, they seem a little too eager. They include Camden, Citria, Abaco Key, Alexandria Parc Vue, and Cane Island. Maybe we're not looking in the right places for suggestions. May I ask who you have tried that has a waiting list? Thanks!

I currently live in Alexandria Park Vue and have friends that live in Abaco Key and Bella apartments and would recommend any of the three! ;) I've lived in my apartment almost two years!

Actually now she is looking in the Four Corners area. Does anyone know the area? Is it safe? Shopping nearby?

My daughter lives in a three bedroom house in Hunters Creek (very safe area) and is looking for a third roommate. This person would have the master bedroom with own bath and walk-in closet. The house is completely furnished except this bedroom (including fully equipped kitchen). Rent is $600 per month plus share of utilities (estimated to be around $90 for cable/internet, electricity, water and septic). I don't have enough posts to include my email address, so I guess you should just respond to this post if you have an interest.

4 Corners has a decent amount of shopping nearby (Walmart, Publix, Walgreens, Target, and fast food, so the essentials are covered ;)). It's a relatively safe area. Traffic getting to WDW can be pretty bad at times, because pretty much your only option is US-192, which is a major tourist thoroughfare.

I used to live at Legacy Dunes, on US-192, not far from 27. The apartment was nice, but the management company was pretty bad. I have a lot of friends who live in Cagan Crossings, on US-27, and they seem satisfied. I've also got friends who live at Victoria Park (which is in the "Champions Gate" area ... some people consider that to be part of 4 Corners, some think it's a little too far south to be considered 4 Corners) who like it, and I've also got friends who live in Integra Meadows and Legends at Champions Gate, who have said both those complexes are pretty decent.

It's actually pretty easy to get to WDW from Champions Gate, and that section of I-4 is rarely as crowded as some other parts of I-4.

Someone above mentioned Hunter's Creek, which is also a nice area, but the downside is that you have to use a toll road to get to WDW property.

My daughter rented her room today. Hope yours enjoys her PI!
