Need passport to book?

Hi..my daughter wants to book for September 2018 in April when free dining is announced,,her passport expired last year...she's not planning on going overseas until then so was going to wait until 2018 to renew...question is do you need a passport when booking., should she renew now ?

No, the only time you need your passport is when you fill out ESTA and API's
