Need party favor ideas

My son's 1st b-day is this weekend.

I need some party favors for the kids.

We are having a pinata filled with candy so they will have a candy bag to take home.

I'd like to get them something else small, under $2 each.

Kids ages range from 1 - 13. Most are in the 4-5 year old range. I need about 25 gifts.

Any ideas?

I went to 5 Below and couldn't really find anything.

It's a Mickey theme, but does not necessarily have to be a Mickey goodie.

How about a trick or treat bag? Or a small pumpkin?

Those cheap bouncy balls (usually with a character on them) for playing with in the yard would be great for most kids in the age ranges listed.

At dollar stores and sometimes at ToysRUs, you can find cute coloring books and cheap little boxes of crayons -- you could probably get a book and crayons for each kid for less than $2. Or look at Target in their Dollar Spot -- they always have lots of cute things there.

BUBBLES!!!! kids of all ages love bubbles, I got a 3 pack of 6 0z bottles at the dollar store!!! While you are there you can also pick up packs of glow bracelets or sticks, usually 2-3 in a pack. you can divide the packs or give them a whole pack each that way they can use them to trick or treat with!!!

One year I bought a box of 100 cookie cutters from Wal-Mart (I think they were $9.99) and gave those out as party favors. Since you've got so many kids you could get 2 boxes of 100 - let the kids choose or divide them up in advance. I didn't like putting candy in a pinata so I put the cookie cutters in there and the kids got them that way.

This is EXACTLY what we have for DS party this week-end. I made up stickers that say " Thanks for coming to my party" with a themed clip art, and replaced the labels on the bubbles for it. We also got the glow bracelets. We have big colorful baskets they are going to be in and placed beside the door when they leave.

For a big age span, food is good. Candy bars with your own label are a huge hit!

I wanted to stay away from little junkie plastic toys, etc.

I was thinking about doing the personalized candy bar if I can't find anything else. I wanted to stay away from candy since the pinata has candy and Halloween a week away.

Walgreens had some Mickey cookies. I wonder if they are any good.

I think I'm going to take a ride tonight and see if I can find something at Target or Walgreens.

My nephew just turned one and the party favor bags had a snack size bag of animal crackers, crazy straw, bubbles and itty bitty beanie baby.

Party City had some cute Disney markers, Mickey Mouse clubhouse notebooks etc.

Also, glow sticks for Halloween night might be good.

I see you are near Chicago. I am in Plainfield and recently got great favors from JEWEL, of all places. They have a big clearance section, and they had those balls filled with water and glitter - for a quarter. The kids LOVED them. I think the regular price was $4.99! Try and see if they still have them.
