I found a great rate on a minivan through National... but to get that rate I used an Enertainment book discount code coupon. Will they ask for the actual paper coupone when we get there?

I'd have it with you to be safe. Last time we rented with National at MCO, I had the coupon attached right to the paper that I'd printed after making the online reservation - they didn't keep it, they didn't even look at it. But when I rented with National in Denver last February, they wanted the coupon (And of course, this time I had forgotten to bring it with me). After some discussion, they honored the rate but gave me an address to send the coupon in.

You can sign up for a trial membership online and print the coupon on your printer. Just be sure to cancel the membership afterwards. I think you can print three coupons maximum for the trial!

I rented from Alamo (National's sister company) back in February and was asked for the coupon. I had one that I printed off from the Entertainment.com website. HTH

Just returned Friday nite. When at the booth to "checkout" we handed the agent a copy of the res, my emerald card, and the coupon. He gave the coupon back saying we could keep it. to be save, I'd still have it with. This is the first time in the last 4 that they did not keep the coupon.

They have handed me back the paper coupon the last 2 or 3 times. I always insist they take it, after being told by one of the agents (National)that they really do not have to give you he $20 discount with the coupon.
So, I make sure they keep the coupon.

Anyone can use it, no need to buy the book or sign up for anything.
