chicken broccoli braid...as you requested;)

2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 cup broccoli, chopped
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 garlic clove,pressed
4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese (1 cup)
1/2 cup mayo
2 tsp dill mix
1/4tsp salt
2 pkgs (8 oz ea.) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg white,lightly beaten
2 tbsp. slivered almonds

preheat oven to 375*
mix chicken, broccoli, bell pepper and garlic in classic batter bowl, add shredded cheese, mayo, dill mix and salt.... stir all together....
unroll crescent rolls onto stone, do not separate. arrange longest sides of dough across width of rectangle stone. place food mixture down the center on top of the crescent rolls. On outside edges of dough cut strips 3" deep every 1 1/2"s apart then take the cut strips up over the filling to "braid" the filling in. tuck ends to seal. brush egg white over w/pastry brush and sprinkle w/ almonds...bake til deep golden brown 25-28m minutes. makes 10 servings.

here is the finished product:

(but seriously, I love my chopper)

Love, love, LOVE the stones!!! I keep the large round stone in the oven all the time, it's great for biscuits, cookies, pizza... really, anything!

And I love my chopper. I use it constantly, and DS loved to use it to help me cook when he was smaller.

These P. Chef items I use several times a week:
stones- the flat round one , the big bar pan or the rectangular baker are my faves...have several more, but these I use most often.

ice cream scoop

pizza cutter

scrapers

love the All the Best cookbook! the spinach artichoke dip in there is just like at the restaurants! :thumbsup2

I love the deviled egg pan.
The section that holds the eggs can be frozen so you have colder eggs to serve. It also turns over and can be used as a relish tray.

I add a vote for the large pizza stone. I use it for everything except pizza ;) I bake pork chops on it as well as chicken etc. I use the two sizes of the covered batter bowl often. I also second the recommendation for the scrapers. I have had mine for years, and they still look new.

I have a $30 gift certificate I have to use for a local Pampered Chef seller. What would you get with $30?
I love my pizza stone and olive oil sprayer. I would get one of those.

Thanks for the recipe. I will have to try it minus the peppers.

i leave out the peppers too. if I want the red accent color, I add in some chopped tomatoes.
