Hi!

I am looking to buy advance tickets. I know which MYW (or whatever) tickets I need (6 day park hopper w/ expiry). I am looking at some of these online brokers who are a few bucks cheaper than disney... like ticketmania and orlandodiscounttickets. Anyone ever used them? What about the deals with the meal vouchers? Are these a good deal? If I got them it would only be for the adults, my DS would NEVER eat that much food! I figured it's about $16 per voucher bought with the mousesavers discount, may be worth it?? I see some people are selling on ebay for upwards of $18 (if for some reason we don't use them all)..

no, we aren't getting free dining... we booked SSR through a time-share. :smooth:

Opinions?? Should I just buy the tickets from Disney and not risk someone screwing me?

thanks.

We have used Ticketmania and Mapleleaf tickets. Both have been great. I think ticketmania had a better deal with free shipping? Maybe not. I am an AP holder so we have only used them for IOA and US tickets. The vouchers I can't say either. If they are the same we used on school trips years ago, it is a lot of food...at certain places. You should watch where and what you eat. If you have not checked out www.mousesavers.com, look to them for some helpful tips and a list of participating places.

P.S. Just went back and read the fine print. Vouchers expire 12/31/05. So, if you are traveling over New Years you would be out of luck come Sunday Morning.

We used the Q&C vouchers back in 2001 & 2003. In 2003, I paid $11.75 (I think) each. I would NOT pay more than $12-13 each - you can look at the menus at www.allearsnet.com and choose some of the counter service restaurants that accept the Q&C vouchers.

There are only a few counter service restaurants that give you more of a value - Beaches & Cream (if they still accept them) or Coronado Springs' Pepper Market (the only counter service that adds tip). Most of the other restaurants have menus that have lower prices. Now, some of the foodcourts have steak entrees that cost $8-9, then when you add in the dessert, drink + tax, it might be worth it.

Look at the typical counter service restaurant menu and see if you would choose items that would cover what you'd spend on the vouchers. That will tell you if it's worth it.

Hope this helps - just my 2 cents.

The vouchers are still good at both Pepper Market and Beaches and Cream, the two best values for the vouchers. Even at $15.65 I'd rather give my DS 16 a voucher for his meal than hand him a $20 bill. It helps him feel independent, plus I know it'll go to food!

I've ordered from Ticketmania a few times and never had a problem.

I also used the Q & C Vouchers and found them to be a great deal at Beaches n Cream and Pepper Market.

We mulled over the QC vouchers this past weekend and decided against them. But, there are only two of us. The only places that we found outside of Beaches & Cream and the Pepper Market that you might come out ahead were with one menu option at the Rose & Crown Pub at Epcot and with one or two menu options at The Plaza restaurant at the MK. After you figured in the shipping costs and the "savings"....it was more or less a wash. So, we decided to skip it. But, what did not work for just the two of us, might have made a whole lot more sense for a family of 3 or 4. Now, if only I could get them cheap like in the old days......
