preferred annual pass is about $179 for the first year.
renewal is $99 for the next year and each year after.
with the aph, you get free parking at UO, 20% discount on food and merch in the park, discounted tickets you can buy for friends...think it is a max of 6 per day for those, discounted rooms for on site universal hotels, discounts on special event hard tickets, etc.
no black out dates. valid year round
the premium pass cost more and you get a few more perks. think one is fotl for after 4 pm, one free hard ticket event/hhn.....etc.
the other ap is cheaper but has black out dates and is not valid for hotel discounts or parking. that one isn't worth it to me.
i go yearly and still save on the hotel, tickets, merch and food with it enough to cover the cost of the ap.
every few years, there are promos for buying ap.
last year for many months, people could buy the bealls ap promo.
you buy the ap for $179 and get 2 years on that ap for the price of one year. and, have the $99 option of renewal on year 3.
that is when i bought it.
i used to stay with the aaa discounts but decided when the bealls promo came up, i knew i would benefit greatly from it.
i had bought the promo of 2 parks for $85 for 5 days last year.
when i went to the park i traded up for the ap.
i was very close to buying the ap 4 years ago when a special came out but didn't. worse mistake i made. when bealls promo came out, i jumped on it.
even if you can not catch a "special" this year, you can renew your ap each year for $99.
you have to do the renewal 30 days prior to expiration or up to the day of expiration to get that $99 rate.
you do not have to do it in person for renewals
