Ok for all of you DVC experts out there (and I know there are lots) :thumbsup2 I'm looking for opinions of which DVC resort is best or better suited for bring a toddler. Please share any opinions regarding travel, amenities, activities, etc. Thanks all so much in advance for your help. :flower3:

I'm sure you will get lots of opinions on this, but we have had really great experiences at BCV with toddlers in tow! :thumbsup2 I think the favorite amenity has been the pool...SAB has the wading area with sand. I find the combination of water & sand to be a great thing with little ones. There's also a baby pool near the sandy area.

Our DS had a bit of trouble falling asleep on vacation, but it turned into a fun thing b/c we would load him into the stroller & take a lovely walk around the boardwalk. Did the trick every time, & we loved it.

Have fun planning! :flower3:

Don't think you can really go wrong at any WDW resort (hotel or DVC). We've taken DS (now 5) the last 2 years and have stayed at both SSR and BCV - he loved both of them as there is stuff to do (pool, arcade, etc).

That being said - he also loves staying at POP just as much !!!!!

Your little one(s) will be happy no matter where you stay !

Have fun,

Chris

Being able to roll a stroller onto a boat (or monorail) is a really nice added perk.
BWV/BCV can take a boat to EPCOT and DHS. I think BLT would be really nice for MK (not sure if all VWL boats can roll a stroller on)

At VWL you can take your toddler to the Cub den and do a craft in the afternoons. We found VWL very nice when we had our 3 DGC with us...they came 3 years in a row with us there, beginning the year they were 1, 2 and 3! Those visits we only did MK and AKV and it worked fine. This past November we tried BCV because we were taking them to Epcot and DHS for the first time. As far as the future, we have one planned with them at BCV in May, and back to VWL in January. They are now 4,5 and 6.:goodvibes

You can roll the strollers on the larger boats, not the tiny ones.

I like the dedicated 2 bedrooms with the 2Q's. All of the VWL dedicated have them, and at BCV you have to request one when you make your reservation.

Beach Club Villa's! The pool, the location, the restaurant availability.... We love it there! .:thumbsup2

I would have to go with BCV for my recommendation. Love the boatride to MGM, the sandy bottom pool at SAB is a great depth for toddlers, we used to make sure to schedule a restaraunt for lunch in the park we choose for the day. It was usually the right time to sit down in an air conditioned environment and relax as they are getting tired. Then it's back to the hotel for a nap. Then out to a nightime activity for the evening. BCV has great access to illuminations and the Fantasm show for the evening. Walk to your car is reasonable as is the elevator access. We love the beautiful oak doors. By the way, if you run into a very late night problem where you need caugh medicine, or some other convenience store item there is a store/eatery in the Dolphin that is open 24hrs., walking distance away. Also, there are some decent prices and food items over at the gas station right outside of the Boardwalk in, cannot remember the name of it, but it is walking distance too. CrispyCream donuts, better beer prices, they have a nice little store there. I believe BC also has a child care club avaiable. The one at Boardwalk used to be closed. Also, you cannot pool hop to BCV.

I am voting WLV/BLT since most of your time will be spent at the MK with a toddler and it is a 5 minute boat ride that you role the stroller on or a monorail ride away. The kiddie pool is nice and you can rent a surrey bike one afternoon. After the Wishes fireworks you'll be wishing you were at the WLV. Seriously - you can't go wrong no matter where you choose - afterall its Disney and if they don't cater to the kiddies who will.:confused3
