I tried other places in OPrlando and they are all ready booked??? Anyone have this happen.. I figured it would be no problem to extend my stay.... any suggetsions?????

I think what they did last time for Frances is they just blocked any reservations for tourists and then kept open the rooms for evacuees and their employees. Perhaps if you call back and explain that you are in fact an evacuee, they will be able to help you out. Don't be afraid to ask for a supervisor's assistance. I hope everything works out for you and everyone else down there!

Also, try another resort. This morning I had to change 2 days of my stay to another resort and at first she told me it would be booked but I was able to get it for Monday & Tuesday -at a mail card code.

Good luck and yes as luvpooh wrote, do tell them you are an evacuee and absolutely ask for a superviosor - they are feeling pretty stressed about now, but keep trying!!

Good luck and keep us posted, if possible!

I was at BC before Hurricane Frances. The airport was closed, so our flights were cancelled, but we were scheduled to depart that Saturday 9/4. The front desk CM told me that as long as we were a registered guest, they would guarantee us a room. When I told her we might drive the rental car home that Saturday morning if we could find gas, she suggested we not check out of the hotel until we were sure that we didn't need to come back. So with her advice we didn't check out until we had filled up with gas in Jacksonville. At 10:30 a.m. I called the hotel to check us out of the room from the car in northern Florida.

So from my experience, if you are a registered guest during an emergency like a hurricane, they will keep you for as long as the emergency lasts.
