We've added 3 nights to our trip, but are unable to rent more DVC points [no resort has 3 nights in a row!] so I am needing to find us a place to stay. I have booked the 3 nights at POFQ, but am not loving the price. Over $500 for 3 nights! Yikes!
I'm only paying $1300 for 10 nights with our DVC rental...makes it kind of hard to go back, KWIM? Add in that we are not going to WDW for the 1st couple of days, and it gets even tougher to swallow.
So, looks like we will be venturing offsite for the 1st time. =We are going to Legoland, but will drive a bit so we can hit Downtown Disney for dinner and to have a "nicer" hotel than what appears to be available in Winter Haven.
Soooo....what hotel should I pick? I'm finding some good rates at the Fairfield in Marriott Village and Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista. Opinions? Other options that I should consider? There are 3 of us, including DS6. We tend to have champagne tastes, and will be a bit more to make sure its a great stay, but really think I ought to be able to find a perfect place for quite a bit less than $500. We are not really up for times share pitch pressures......I know the ideal hotel is out there, so I'm asking for help from those of you in the know....TIA!
