We are planning to spend several nights at RPH and due to our flight schedule, we must stay for 2 days longer than we planned. Since we will be done with the parks and FOTL, we would like to save some money and move to another hotel. Can anyone suggest a good one within walking distance to restaurants, etc. We are not renting a car. Thanks.

You could try the Radisson twin Toweres or the Holiday Inn just across Kirkman from UO. You could walk from both of these and I believe both have shuttle service.

The Super Star Shuttle bus service that stops at the bus station between CityWalk and the parking garages, has a number of routes serving a bunch of hotels nearby. Each route serves a number of hotels. So you might want to check the routes while you're staying at RPR and pick a hotel that way. You can usually get a printed route schedule from the driver.

From what I've been able to gather, the bus drivers don't check whether you're a hotel guest, either coming or going to the parks, so as long as you're near a shuttle stop, you might be able to use this service.

Does anyone else have more specific info on this?

I do agree with the Radisson and the Holiday Inn. But if you're looking for something a little cheaper, the Hampton Inn Universal is very close, right off Kirkman and Vineland, and I got it for $45.90 a night on Hotelkingdom.com. They have a shuttle that will get you to the parks in about 5 minutes.

If you're comfortable trying Priceline, all of the 2 1/2 and 3 star hotels in the Universal are great choices.
