Need New Year's Eve travel help

I'd like to do something fun and different this year rather than sitting at home and watching Dick Clark bring in the New Year. I was thinking of travelling to a larger city on the east coast, especially if they had any fun or special events going on. ( And not New York city - I'm crazy, but not that crazy!) I really don't want to travel any further north than Philly, or any further south than Savannah. I live in Virginia, so that's about in the middle.

Any thoughts? One place I was particularly wondering about was the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
