Hi!

We live in South Jersey and need new garage doors :scared1: as well as so many other home improvement projects - and just saw that you can get them through Costco (they have their own contracted installers who will come out and give and estimate and the warranties are backed by Costco). BTW, we need a double and a single door (! love the steel carriage door look!) - How are their prices compared to other private installers? The brand they carry seems to be Amarr - anyone use Costco or can recommend another installer/company? Also do these companies usually include doing the side moldings around the doors as ours have termite damage too :sad2:!

Thanks in Advance!

We had a friend who worked for Overhead Door. We have the same as what you are saying, two car and a one car. We bought insulated ones, no glass panels. I think we paid $1200 and paid the buddy $300 to put them in. He was able to order them through his work, his boss actually encouraged this--we needed them and didn't want to pass up this deal. It took him about two hours to put them in. Hubby had already replaced the mouldings around the garage openings, so he didn't have to but it would have been included in the price.

Three houses ago (probably 10 yrs ago), we replaced a standard two car door, I think that cost us $1000. Same company, don't think it was insulated though. This was without the friend discount.
