Its been a while since I've rented with National & the whole Emerald Aisle thing. And I think some of it has changed since last time.

Can someone give me a refresher? What's the minimum size I need to indicate on reservation? Do I need to do anything else on reservation to indicate I want to be able to go out to the garage & pick what I want?

Best codes going around these days? Military codes? AAA? Not Orlando this trip, but Seattle instead in July.

To get Emerald Aisle, you have to log in with your membership # and book and intermediate.

I thought someone said to book the midsize. That's what I had planned on doing but I'm not sure if they mean midsize or standard.

This looks like a great place to add my question.:goodvibes

With the Emerald Aisle you get a free 2nd driver (spouse)

How do you add this driver? I can't find a place on the website to add information for a 2nd driver so would this mean a trip to the counter? Is their a different line at the counter or out in the lot for EA members?

Thanks a million!:thumbsup2

I have some questions too. I'm curious about the additional driver and going to the counter and also is there signage for Emerald Club members to where they need to go to pick up the cars? I've never rented where I didn't have to go to the counter so I'm totally confused.

You do not go to the counter. Go to the Emerald Aisle pick your car drive to the booth. When we get to the booth I give them DH's license and my Emerald card and the tag from the car. That's it.

As sue1013 said, just give the attendant at the check-out booth both driver's licenses, your Emerald Club membership card (or a copy of your reservation with it on it), and you are set.

Yes, when you get to the garage, there will be signage directing you to National and then across from the desk in the garage (which you don't need to stop at if you are an Emerald club member) that indicates "Emerald Aisle" (at least there is on the B side - I'm sure it's similar on the A side)
