So sorry for your son. People do this because there are no consquences. A public flogging in the square is appropriate punishment and might deter idiots from doing stuff like this to kids.

TY all for praying!! We did see 2 doctors. while the eye bone IS broken, they think they may be able to avoid surgery. He does have to go to the ear nose throat specialist Tues about his nose, and back to the eye Dr Monday to check again when swelling goes down.

We are leaving now to go to the police station for them to take pics of his injuries for court. He is feeling a little better today, but still in pain. He did tell the eye doc she looked like Darth Vader behind the machine she was using, and that he "feels like he married Chris Brown", so his sense of humor is still quite intact.

Many prayers for your son. That is horrible, but I am so glad that he's "okay" and alive and not kidnapped, etc. He's very lucky and the other boys were smart to get the plate number and notify an adult! Good thinking on their parts! Many hugs to all of you and keep us updated.

OMG, OP, hug your son TIGHTLY.

Today I watched on live tv, the city of San Diego sentence that scum of the earth, John Gardner to life in prison, no parole.

Listening to the parents of Amber Dubois and Chelsea King give their victim impact statements was heartbreaking. Two young, smart, talented young girls beatened, raped and murdered by this evil monster.

HUG YOUR SON.

Prayers that he makes a full recovery and quickly.

He is feeling a little better, and trying to wean himself off his pain meds. Not too bad!! The guy that beat him? Well we found his pic online where he was arrested, and he is 38!!! REALLY??? Who at 38 beats a child??? We are going to write to congress and reps here in our state as well, as we found out because my son is 13, it is NOT abuse of a minor, because he is older than 12!!!! WTH??? They ARE pressing charges of aggravated robbery, and there is another charge from someone else as well, AND he is on parole, so the officer said he IS getting prison time. I will keep updating as things change. TY TY TY for all the prayers...they are working!!!!!

So glad they caught the guy! This will give your son some peace of mind anyway to know that he is not out there still. He could just as well have forced your son into the van - good thing his friends were quick thinkers and
ran for help!

If he is still in pain, you can call the ER and they might be able to give you some advice. Some pain medications do not work on some people.
