My Mom, DD6, DD9, and I are heading to WDW for the Princess 1/2 marathon in Feb. The girls are doing the kids races on Saturday morning, so we are going to have a non-park day. The races are at ESPN Sports zone and should be wrapping up around lunch time. I don't want to eat at ESPN, because that is not very appealing to my DDs. The plan for the afternoon is to play some mini-golf at either Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland. I am looking for good lunch spots, hopefully within walking distance of the courses.

I am considering Garden Grove at the Swan, but I can't seem to find a children's lunch menu (DD6 is very picky). We have early ADRs for dinner at Raglan Road, so I don't want anything to heavy for lunch. Is there anything at BWI that is worth trying? We don't get to this area that much so I am at a loss.

Garden Grove kids menu, and just about every other WDW restaurant menu, is available at: http://allears.net/menu/men_gulk.htm.

Beaches & Cream is certainly an option, although it is small so there are waits during busy times, and the menu is fairly limited. Another possibility would be the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club. A nice, full-service restaurant which is rarely crowded and it features a more extensive menu.

Definitely Beaches and Cream! You dont need a reservation and the food is more simple (cheesesteaks, burgers, chicken sandwiches), but good. And the ice cream is awesome. Just split something for dessert. The theming is so fun, we love it there!
